Scott Brown disses Glenn Beck and loves John McCain

Brown said his model for governing would be McCain, who would also be the first appointment in a packed schedule of meetings that morning. "I have great respect for Senator McCain," he said of the Arizona senator, who was one of the first establishment players to support his seemingly quixotic bid against Attorney General Martha Coakley. "I've known him for a while, long before this, and you know he is a war hero and kind of a maverick independent thinker. While I want to be a Scott Brown Republican, I want to rely on everybody on both sides of the aisle," he added, "I've told my leadership already that I'm not a rubber stamp for anybody."
And Brown expressed reluctance to be associated at all with the Tea Party movement that helped elect him.
"There may be members of a certain group that supported me," he said, "but I had supporters from every walk of life. And to focus on one specific group is a disservice to the campaign -- it's inclusiveness in making sure that everyone has a voice."
And I don't know what this is about, but it's creepy:
Asked about Glenn Beck's suggestion on his radio show that Brown be fitted with a chastity belt before "it could end up with a dead intern," Brown said, "You know, name calling and all that stuff? I'm way past that. My daughters know that I love them and there is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for them."
The teabaggers were endowed by their creator, FoxNews, to support Brown and there is no underestimating how much they had to do with it. It will be very interesting to see how they react to being publicly dismissed. If they take it, we'll know that they are just the typical Republican base falling into line. If not --- well, then the GOP has a problem if they take the Scott Brown attitude. They hate McCain.
Scott Brown is playing possum with his Tea Party stance because he knows they were really, really behind him and without the support of the Right Wing Noise Machine that is backing the teabaggers, he wouldn't have had a chance to win.
Let the games begin.

I heard Glenn Beck make those remarks, and all I could think is that he is so drunk on his own power that he knows not what he says. The next day he was all over the place trying to justify. What he said is despicable and even though I'm not pleased Scott Brown won, if I were him I would kick Glenn Beck's ass. Seriously, who's the creepy one here?

Scott Brown is an imbecile, a liar and a turncoat and the Tea Party movement has been hijacked by the establishment, even if it wasn't created by the establishment.
But Obama was a complete media creation, with far, far more establishment support and money than the bunch of pissed off republicans or independents who comprise the Tea Party movement. Obama has long lists of lies and slimy political maneuvering to his credit, he's spreading war, pursuing sick and corrupt economic and monetary practices, he's spineless and pathetic on human rights, sold out on health care ... So isn't it pretty....incomplete....to focus your energy and thought on these people and groups while your own spectacular hypocrisy and political, moral and logical failure could use some attention?

I don't align myself with the Tea Partiers, I'm just looking at them objectively. It's a movement of passionate citizens trying to impact their government by using their rights to demonstrate and speak publicly. That's a healthy thing in a free society. It is lamentable that establishment cretins are poisoning the movement, which could have been, and yet may turn out to be, effective in limiting federal power.

Looking at all the comments, it seemed too many people were judging Oboma logically instead of emotionally, and calling him a fraud. I was beginning to get a grudging respect for leftists.
Now if they can take the next logical step and think beyond the canned candidates that are forced on us cycle after cycle, I may start really liking them. The only lingering support for Obama among thinking people is that at least he's not Bush or McCain or another republican robot. Agreed, but I would offer that he's worse, because he's a mindless, Israel-serving war hawk, bought and paid for by money interests and totally ineffective except when it comes to ill-conceived, disastrous policies--just like your dreaded right wingers, the only difference being Obama confuses and neutralizes you left wingers and maneuvers you into supporting policies you thought you opposed. Better for you if Bush was still spreading war and crashing the economy; then you'd be able to figure out that you're philosophically opposed to these things.
Then again, Obamo energized the right wing grass roots, who seem to be more focused and capable overall, and would do just fine if they could get beck and Palin off their collective back. So maybe Obama's gonna be good for the country. He's got people thinking and acting, and let's face it, liberals have grand ideas but they tend to be moral, intellectual and physical cowards.
