Exclusive video of Ted Kennedy from his new autobiography: True Compass
I've received some exclusive video of the late, great Sen. Ted Kennedy right before his passing, discussing his family, life and career in politics. This interview was recorded in conjunction with the release of his new book: "True Compass".

As usual, he is impressive. He says he's never shied away from being called a liberal because that's what he was. Now that's an example to follow.

I wish more democrats had the guts that Senator Kennedy had and the heart too. He was a man sincerely concerned for his fellow man and he was gutsy enough never to back down in his determination. Talk about a political and personal idol.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
I'm from Boston, attended the viewing at the JFK library, and am so PROUD Ted Kennedy represented my state. The right wing still demonizes teddy, and even proclaims their joy at his death- but their venom does their side more harm than ours....
I have to say Ted Kennedy had more courage than Barack Obama in promoting and carrying out liberal causes, without being concerned how the right wingers will react. Massachusetts- and America lost a great champion of the rights for ALL when ted kennedy died...
Ted believed in gay rights, and defended the fight for marriage equality.
In contrast, right wingers despise gays, and would like to see gays either stuffed back into the closet, or killed.
Ted's fellow Massachusets rep Barney Frank is the one person who shared his ability to stand up for liberal causes, and to ignore the whining of the right wing critics...
Ted Kennedy had a heart as big as the moon.
I will always remember him with a great amount of admiration, thanks, and love.
Thanks for this story John.
