After Floyd though the legislature (state) did push through some rules making new industrial hog farms more expensive. That's why they are now going to Mexico and Poland.
You haven't lived until you've been stuck 2 hours in enough traffic you can't pass, behind a convoy of three or more open slat trailers stacked three decks high with pigs for slaughter, in 90+ degree weather with 90% humidity. It gets through the air conditioning in the first 5-10 minutes.

Floyd...was that when eastern Carolina flooded like hell, and there was dead pig and cow carcasses in everywhere...and some cemetaries were flooded so bad some of the coffin new and old floated up and out...

Oh...how's the job market up there? I may be movin back.
Retail and food are hurting bad. The triangle and triad areas are holding their own, Charlotte not as well. But even in those areas you will need to look hard. Looking for a job with a high education requirement helps. Some things are hard to figure, most home repairers I know still have lots of work, but the tree/landscaping business is hurting.
Government sector had been ok, but recent budget projections are going to force government to cut jobs or salaries or both to balance in the next 6 months (you can't get taxes in that fast). Local tech college (mostly state funded) has had hiring freeze and forced summers with no pay for at least a year now, with enrollment climbing. Makes me wonder if that NC republican (he's Hickory district - so very conservative) backing off the taxes isn't more a response to the local conditions. Once the state starts the hard budget cuts, it will be pretty hard to win on "no new taxes" here in NC I think.

Sorry, next to TexASS, your state has contibuted more than it's share of neoNAZIcons, and total loons. Too, too, too, bad agribusiness is flopping. Mad Cow, now this, salomella in peanut butter, which gets rationed out to the poor,............Agribusiness stinks!, and they even get subsidized by the feds not enforcing clean-up, very little regulation, black hole out of which our food comes????? They are trying to kill more than half of the world's population.

FDA: More than $1.5 Million of Adulterated Food, Food Ingredients Seized
Filthy conditions, failure to correct violations prompted action
At the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Marshals today seized more than $1.5 million worth of food products, including herbs and botanicals, stored under filthy conditions at the American Mercantile Corporation of Memphis, Tenn.
During an inspection of American Mercantile in March, FDA investigators discovered evidence of extensive rodent and insect infestation throughout the company’s warehouse. The company failed to correct these problems. Acting on a warrant issued by the United Stated District Court in Memphis, U.S. Marshals seized all FDA-regulated food products exposed to rodent and insect contamination at the facility. The seized products violate the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act because they were held under insanitary conditions under which they may have become contaminated with filth.
“FDA will not tolerate a company’s failure to adequately control and prevent filth in its facility,” said Michael Chappell, the FDA’s acting associate commissioner for regulatory affairs. “The FDA is prepared to use whatever legal means are necessary and appropriate to keep potentially contaminated products out of the marketplace.”
American Mercantile stores and processes food ingredients, which are then sold to and used in the dietary supplement and herbal tea industries. The seized articles include food products, such as sarsaparilla, spearmint leaves, cornstarch, sweet orange peels powder, licorice powder, sassafras, and salt.

The first link relates to the BC shot. It has a significant effect on weight gain. The second study includes oral contraceptives. I'm a big fan of contrarian science (especially when it comes to nutrition), but only where there is data to support your claims. BC causes weight gain. Period.
I was on BC for many years and didn't gain any weight until I went off of it and became pregnant. After my baby was born I went back on BC and still didn't gain any extra weight. I'm one of the lucky ones who lost the baby fat by my 6 week checkup. BradyB you can't lump all women who are on BC the same. Some will gain weight and others wont.
There's only one thing Hannity puts on his hamburger...

I got on the first time, no problem, then wanted to go back, 'cause they have a whole lot of useful info, and couldn't get back. Tried 3 or4 times since about 8AM, no luck. Using Firefox.
