if you follow the links on Gladney. It turns out the Tea Party victim of the "SEIU union thug beatings" outside a St. Louis Town Hall meeting was there selling political paraphenalia, and the guy who introduced himself the next day at a rally as the poor Mr. Gladney's attorney was actually the owner of the paraphenalia business.

I'm so glad you caught that David Cay Johnston piece, Mike. He's one of the great "connectors" among reporters and other observers. Trouble is, we continue to preach to the chorus when we talk about Republican hypocrisy. No one on the other side is listening. They continue to press their palms over their ears and and should "la la la la la la liar liar liar."

who pressed his palms into taxpayer's pockets.

Rep. Michelle Bachman has asked her constituents not to participate in the census and has stated she will not. She also has asked her constituents to raise up arms against the census takers. This very clearly makes the republicans a domestic terrorist organization as defined in the Patriot Act which was passed by republicans claiming it was to protect America.

Given the nature of Clay County, Kentucky, there is a decent chance this poor man stumbled across the modern day version of a moonshiner's still...a meth lab.

Census Worker Found Hanged

That's getting ugly man. And why if this happened on the 12th of Sept has it taken so long to hit the press?

I actually do not believe that, but I am sure the theory is making the rounds.

"Employers took 2,690 mass layoff actions in August that resulted in the separation of 259,307 workers, seasonally adjusted, as measured by new filings for unemployment insurance benefits during the month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Each action involved at least 50 persons from a single employer. The number of mass layoff events in August increased by 533 from the prior month, and the number of associated initial claims increased by 52,516.

Good stuff. Johnston is always sharp, especially on corporations and businesses and how the game is rigged for them. The train station piece is rather sad.
