Thanks for the roundup as usual!
Today is a day of mourning for con-servatives...
People that need help will get it...even if they have to pay an arm & a leg for it to private companies...until it is proven that they can't/won't keep costs down...
Its a first step, but hopefully one that has many to follow...
We don't inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children - Native American proverb
If being cold means there's no such thing as global warming, does being full mean there's no such thing as world hunger?
NASA: “It is nearly certain that a new record 12-month global temperature will be set in 2010″ - http://climateprogress.org/2010/03/19/nasa-gi...
Must-read draft paper: "We conclude that global temperature continued to rise rapidly in the past decade" and "that there has been no reduction in the global warming trend of 0.15-0.20°C/decade that began in the late 1970s."
Wanted: David and Charles Koch, Climate Criminals [video] - http://www.desmogblog.com/wanted-david-and-ch...
If you've never heard of Charles or David Koch, I wouldn't blame. While they do run the second largest private company in the US, they don't spend much money advertising the fact.
These oil barons do however spend a lot of money every year on organizations like Americans for Prosperity who attack the science of climate change and deny that it is happening.

Now its time to strengthen it....no time to lose on that...
Why go stupid now? President Obama's Abortion Executive Order Pleases No One -- Other Than Rep. Bart Stupak - http://onthehillblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/oba...
The executive order the White House has prepared for President Obama to sign to restate a prohibition of federal funding of abortion has won the support of an anti-abortion Democrat in Congress -- but few other partisans on either side of the abortion debate.
SO...we're going to forego a woman's right to healthcare in this instance because....of storytelling interpretations (based on con-servative patriarchal megalomania?)

GOP Lawmakers Use Christian Hate Radio To Concoct Conspiracies, Build Opposition To Health Reform - http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/20/afa-radio...
Because Jesus loved him some health insurance companies....the Bible really didn't cover how much his copays were...but they were probably pretty hefty considering his love of money lenders...the ones from the temple he smoked cigars with and golfed with while comparing the size of their gulfstreams....

Tea Party protesters reportedly spit on one lawmaker, call others ‘******’ and the n-word. - http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/20/tea-party...
We can just call them the brown shirt/fascist party....makes it a lot easier to make the distinction instead of letting them co-op the actual anti-corporate tea party against the East India Company...

A Democratic lawmaker says a protester stood up in the House gallery, yelled "Kill the bill" and was cheered by Republicans. Said Barney Frank: "I've never seen this — for the Republicans to stand up and cheer the guy on." Frank called the Republicans "clowns."

I just wish all these moron hypocrite con-servatives would practice what they preach and forego medicare & any other 'handout' that they protest....but then again, that would mean that they have credibility, integrity, and a functional brain....
GOP Sunday: A Comedy of Terrors -- P.M. Carpenter, Exclusively for BuzzFlash.com on March 22 -- Rounding out the ecstasy of Sunday's sermonizing, though, were those virtually indistinguishable apostles of doom, the House Republicans, all in one, together at last. Outside, their Army of Darkness chanting murderous intent was not to be disappointed, for the GOP's chorus of choreographed hysteria was spellbinding.

Finally a good move: Got to Love It: Student Loan Bill Poised to Pass in Health Vote. Under the new legislation, the government would expand an existing direct lending program, eliminating the fees paid to banks. That would be one taxpayer subsidy to banks eliminated and soaring college costs made slightly more affordable.

On March 22, 1972, Congress sent the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution to the states for ratification. It fell short of the three-fourths approval needed.
Some stuff you can't make up!
"OMG the President is a black guy."
Yeah, I just noticed that too.
Are we sure? Check the lighting, it might just be the shadows or something.
I heard one republican say yesterday this president was the most pro-abortion president this country has ever had. Then I heard Bachmann this morning on fox say that this bill would pay for more abortions and the number of abortions would go up each year like 30% a year as a result.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
I never watch Faux Nooz. Just for this very reason.
They lie.
But, since yesterday was a big day in politics, I figured I'd check them out to see what was happening.
Bachmann was on just drooling all over the place about more abortions.
She didn't disappoint.
More lies and bullshit.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
When fox and friends came on this morning their faces looked like they had just attended a funeral. They were so concerned about the futures of the big insurance companies. They were worried they would go out of business because of the bill. Then I read a comment here at crooks and liars someone had left last night saying as a result of the bill, we would now be owned by the big insurance companies.
Way to early in the morning to be this dizzy.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Cornyn was just on Morning Joe and he seems to feel the repubs in the senate can muck up the bill therefore requiring it to have to go back to the House again. I hope he's just blowing smoke but I know they are going to give it a try.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

Oh frabjous day! More head explosions to come, I'm sure.
Thanks for the linky love, Mike!
