Did Malkin really and seriously come up with that card? I wish to hell I had not looked at it. A warning should have been given ahead of time.
I admit it's black humor, but it's still a send up of the cuddly warm present-giving Santa that the malls and desperate retailers are shoving down our throats.

yet, for the rightwing this is not a 'send up', it is the same "cuddly warm present-giving Santa." for many on the right is is not black humor. this is just what santa does on his way hand out gifts to the american christian children. keeeeeel! keeeeel!
i am surprised that santa's sleigh doesn't have an american flag sticking out of it...
to be fair, malkin's original idea was not to have 'the claus' shoot the wolves, but, instead, it was to have santa intern the wolves in a concentration camp kept separate from their homes and extended families. ya know, for the holidays.
that skanky scamp malkin can find a way to squeeze her love of concentration camps into most holidays. easter bunny purgatory, leprechaun dungeon, etc
She must have had some kind of god awful experience as a child, to grow up to be such a heartless ___________ (fill in the blank with your own word. Mine is too tasteless to print)
Malkin's obvious and dire cries for help has no listeners.
She doesn't need a listener, she needs a caretaker.
How can there be a War on Christmas when we have such perennial favorites as this?

This is what my church teaches. So I guess, since I don't believe in christmas, I'm gonna go to hell.

December 23: Festivus
n. An alternative to the crass commercialization of Christmas, typically celebrated on December 23. It involves The Airing of Grievances (telling your family and friends all the ways they have disappointed you during the year) and does not end until the Feats of Strength (pinning the head of the family) are accomplished. A plain, metal pole is used in lieu of a Christmas tree, because decorations (such as tinsel) is distracting from the true meaning of the holiday.

to be sure juan cole is very influential and i take his words to heart.
but, i can't swallow this. leaving aside the whole invocation-choice-thingy... the notion that warren is some sort of misunderstood male mother theresa is un-swallow-able (coin). his 'i love muslims and gays' line is about as accurate as rightwing evangelicals claims to love jews. don't. you. believe.
his smile is straight from Carcharodon carcharias. anyone able to dish out that much bullshit, with a smile, is a dangerous fuck.
sorry, and i mean no offense, but i think people have to willingly deceive themselves to see warren as anything other than a highpriced jesus-profiteer. he is an extremely skilled con man.
I appreciate your point of view and I respect it. My only thought was if there is credit to be given to the man, then I'm willing to do that, if he has earned it. The tv channels are filled with preachers who con people into giving them money, at least Warren is attempting to try to do something with the money that benefits others who need it.
I am saying all this as a non-believer in any sort of religion. I just believe you have to give credit where it appears to be due, even if you don't like everything about someone.
