Progressive Change Campaign Committee Delivers 20,000 Signature Petition To Fix CNBC
By Nicole Belle Wednesday Apr 08, 2009 12:10pmThe Progressive Change Campaign Committee asked a few New York comedians, including bloggers Lee Camp and Baratunde Thurston, to deliver to CNBC headquarters a petition with 20,000 signatures asking them to clean up their act and actually try to hold Wall Street accountable, instead of acting as the delivery system for their own public relations efforts.
Since the launch of FixCNBC.com, the network has, in fact, made several programming changes. Former DNC Chair Howard Dean was brought on as a regular commentator, and Huffington Post editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington guest hosted CNBC's morning show Squawk Box last week.
"Too often, groups put up online 'petitions' that aren't tied to any larger campaign," Green said of the FixCNBC.com letter. "We wanted to make sure CNBC truly received the message that people want them to do journalism that holds Wall Street accountable. And now we'll focus the energy of over 20,000 people on electing bold progressives to Congress -- candidates who will hold Wall Street accountable."

Ignore 'em. Or (better) realize that, since in a corporate State all corporate media are State Media, it's all just propaganda, and THEN ignore 'em...
I'm all in... in fact, in my cable system: CNN, HLN, CNBC, FOX, and MSNBC share the same decade channels. I would appreciate if they could be replaced by more comedy or national geographic channels. At least that is entertainment I can use unlike the so-called news channels...
I never found propaganda neither compelling nor entertaining...
Its true. As long as GE owns the network, there is a conflict of interest and a lack of objectivity.

These Big networks ARE WALL STREET. If people stopped watching TV like they have reading newspapers well you get the drift. The problem is TV is a tough addiction for people to break.

New advertisements now airing on CNBC feature Jim Kramer showing him explaining how he predicted the Economic Collapse but no one was listening to him. He show edited clips of his past performances.
Erin Burnett is doing the same kind of advertisement.
This is simply an attempt to "rehab" themselves using fiction.
I used to watch CNBC all the time. That is until Rick Santelli had his little rant and called a couple of my friends losers. And then Jon Stewart made me shake my head because my eyes were stuck and I saw Jim Cramer pimping with the rest of the CNBC team all these years. They were pimping for the mega rich CEOs on wall street and for their own bank accounts. I can remember a shitload of stocks that they pimped that went down soon after they pimped them. I'm not talking about a little mention but a "This is a can't miss" style of pimping. Fuck them now. I WILL NEVER WATCH THAT CHANNEL AGAIN!!!!!!! Ever! They are thieves!
There is no independent news media anymore in which Americans can receive the truth about Global (monopoly) Empires , foreign activities , the truth about our government and it's actions..
This bail out is for this Global (monopoly) Empire which has been performing criminal activities in our country and around the world , and our government is going to take our money put it on a credit card to pay for all the criminal actives of these criminals for the past 9 plus years...
If Obama was serious about correcting this economical crime of disaster , he would have chosen a person which was not involved in the very financial institutions which were apart of creating it and rewarding them with our money...
Also if Obama was really serious about a Change Is A Coming ,, then he would have started with a transparent investigating into the criminal and war crimes of Bush's investigations no matter if they included democrats which when along with Bush /Cheney administration's criminal programs..
Obama is not the person he campaign to be , if so he would have try to fulfill the campaign promises he stated in order to receive the American citizen's votes. Obama claim that Hillary was part of the same old policies of the Bush administration , and Obama stated the same about McCain..
Well it looks as if Obama and his advisers are carrying the ball for Bush / Cheney's crimes and have taken them to a higher level.... Obama has extended the destruction of our constitution and rights with his actions including the one which stated that Americans had no right to sue for the criminal actions inflicted on them by Bush's Administration or corporate powers...
I wonder just how many Democrats have secretly been behind Bush's criminal activities. If Bush and Cheney were not sure that they have some group of persons or organizations which would insure their crimes would not be prosecuted then they would not have been so arrogant and open about their torture and other crimes to our citizens , country and the world...
