TODAY Show cancels Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter was scheduled to appear on the "Today" show Tuesday morning to promote her new book, "Guilty." But it's now been canceled, according to her website.
"I guess this ends the 'they just want to get ratings' argument about liberal media bias," Coulter wrote underneath.
Coulter is still scheduled to appear on CBS' Early Show tomorrow, according to her web page. This follows the recent revelation that CBS considered including Coulter on the "independent" panel it created to investigate a 60 Minutes report on President Bush's National Guard record.
Matthews will still beg for her to come on Hardball I would imagine.

It's funny that her new book should be about whining liberal 'victims', when she is about the biggest whiner in America today. When she really gets at it and she hits those whining high notes, one wants to cover one's ears. She should mate with Mark Levin and they could breed obnoxious right-wing kids whose high-pitched rantings, fortunately for the rest of us, could only be heard by dogs.

For without it, the right wing would have nothing. They have no policy positions which resonate with any large group of people (and none for the middle), they have nothing to offer but someone, anyone, to scapegoat (themselves).
With out that, they are and have not one thing to offer to America.
Actually, I hope they KEEP having Coulter on TV. It's in our best interests to push the moderate conservatives as far off of the TV screen as possible, and keep the looniest, freakiest, most bat-shit crazy conservatives front and center! Keep David Brooks, George Will, and David Frum off the screen, thank you very much. But when it comes to putting Ann Coulter on TV, be my guest! And please shoot her with a wide angle lens, so that you can see the guy coming after her with the butterfly net and the straight jacket.

It's just a matter of degree. Brooks and Frum try to sound like the "every man" while Will is just an anal-retentive bag of wind with a thesaurus. He's the conservative "intellectual"- an oxymoron if there ever was.
Because:
1. It legitimises her hate speech and general drivel.
2. It makes anyone marginally less ultra-right look positively normal by comparison. It still effects a right-shift when that has simply failed for the past 8 years.

Coulter infamously regretted that the 9/11 hijackers didn't strike the NY Times building. Her apologists (that include the decision makers at FOX, NBC, CNN, ad nauseam) contend she was indulging in political theatre, and that her statement can therefore be casually dismissed.

After reading the bulk of the comments on the Politico article, no one should be surprised about anything the Politico talking heads may say or write. It is quite obvious that their market is the right-wing. I don't watch the today show anymore, but they use to have about five minutes of real news every hour.....As far as Chris Matthews goes, well, he can be summed up by two words.....GEORGE ALLEN. Matthews actually thought the guy was presidential material.
She is a total vile, ignorant, ranting moron, that needs a shrink badly. I do wish she would at least change her stiff, smelly, black street walking dress she wears daily.

Harry did a good job. But I believe it was only because he was personally attacked by one of Ann's comments a while back.
Most interviewers have given her a free pass and not drilling her on the fact that her "opinions" have no logic and contradict her own views.
Matthews and Coulter have the same book publisher. That's one reason he has her on. He also believes that sheis a "terrific writer".
We all know anything she writes is going to short, repetitive, and reactionary.
All of her talk about how bush helped protect us from all our ken barbie terrorists is blown way out of proportion. Any half decent president would have kept us safe.
