It's fun watching John McCain work as a surrogate for Mitt Romney. McCain must hate himself for it, but he'll talk up the Willard candidacy. It's not like he's a maverick or anything,

Sandii Behrns: Alan Simpson is not a good person.

Mugsy's Rap Sheet: Mitt Romney does have a record after Bain, and it's probably a good idea to look into it.

Dagblog: What is the 99% Declaration Working Group?

The Confluence: Thinking of Dad on Memorial Day.

Fact: If elected, Mitt Romney will force 99.9 percent of Americans to work in the mayonnaise mines of Salt Lake City, all the while forcing them to watch an endless loop of "Dorf on Golf" videos. Ok, that's not an actual fact. But now it's on the Internet and no one in the media can call it a lie because it's not like they're truth vigilantes or anything.

Ramona's Voices: Forget the gaffes, there's a lot to love about Joe Biden.

Red Bean Dreams: Will Smith reminds us that girls should learn early that they have control of their hair, and their bodies.

Going Concern: The SEC is finishing up its investigation of Lehman Brothers, and it's possible someone will get a stern talking to, maybe. Ok, probably not even that.

Time Goes By: Looking at how spending changes in retirement.

Alright, that's it for me this week. It's been a pleasure, as always. See you soon. (And to you Americans out there, which is most of you, have a pleasant Memorial Day tomorrow.)

I invite you to check out our comprehensive election coverage over at my place. (For example, the un-holy GOP trinity and Romney losing Massachusetts.)

South By Southwest: Democracy is not automatic.

BlondeSense: The indignity of ignorance.

Can It Happen Here?: The elephant in the anti-Obama room.

And because I'm a fair-minded sort of guy, a thoughtful view from the right:

Outside the Beltway: Obama smoked pot. So what?

Bernard: But surely the citizens of a democracy have a right to know.

Sir Humphrey Appleby: No. They have a right to be ignorant. Knowledge only means complicity in guilt; ignorance has a certain dignity.

– From Yes, Minister, together with Yes, Prime Minister one of the greatest TV shows ever (and, I add with mixed feelings, set to be revived, in case you hadn't heard).

Beggars Can Be Choosers: How right-wingers took over Wikipedia.

Connecting the Dots: Romney the Clueless Capitalist.

Bark Bark Woof Woof: The clenching of Tony Perkins's colon.

Alternate Brain: Wall Street's fragile egos and hissy fits.

Just an Earth-Bound Misfit: At Google, being evil is fun.

Okay, let's look beyond America's (and, in my case, Canada's as well) borders to see what else is going on in the world...

Rodger A. Payne: Is Pakistan a failed or rogue state?

Fruits and Votes: Is Serbia, unlike France, a model of premier-presidentialism?

The Moderate Voice: Is "untrustworthy" Germany NATO's biggest problem?

Musings on Iraq: Is al-Maliki running another unjust Iraqi police state?

IntLawGrrls: Is a China-Japan-Korea free trade agreement on the horizon?

So Mitt Romney will promise anything, no matter how ridiculous, to be president. But you knew that already, right?

All Things Democrat: Mitt Romney, would-be leader of theocratic America.

Perrspectives: Obstructionism; or, how the GOP killed Washington.

Occasional Planet: Looking back to when America thought big.

Brilliant at Breakfast: Everything that's wrong with corporatism.

And from Carl at Simply Left Behind: "Reflections," a moving message to today's graduates.

Okay, we all know there's only question that really matters today: Who is your next... American... Idol?!

Lippmann's Ghost: On how what Romney did at Bain is well worth exploring.

Thump and Whip: On whether Romney should embrace his Richie Rich persona.

The Impolitic: On the ridiculous "Obama is a big spender" lie.

I'm pulling for Jessica tonight. Because she's rather less derivative than the lame Dave Matthews rip-off known as Phillip Phillips.

Mario Piperni: On gays, the supposed sanctity of marriage, and ickiness.

Gin and Tacos: On how Bill Kristol is wrong about everything, again.

Hello, everyone. It's great to be back. Let's get right to it. I may be an anti-monarchist, but I should really go enjoy me some Victoria Day .

Zandar Versus the Stupid: Not everyone's so enthused about the NAACP's support for same-sex marriage. (To me, it was a sign of still better things to come.)

Ramona's Voices: Fair-weather Democrats could be the death of us yet.

Take My Country Back: An open letter to the world from an embarrassed American.

Whatever: How being a straight white male is the lowest difficulty setting of all.
