As to those who say this is "targeted against Chinese-Californians"-- FUCK YOU! This is about conserving species. I don't give a rat's ass if it's "traditional"; the shark population cannot survive your tradition any longer.

A lot of these 'traditional' foods and medicines Asians use infuriate me. Bear parts, deer antlers, etc., etc. Many of them are supposed to make men more virile.

far left loon >.<

fastfeat's picture

More effort needs to be made by members of Asian communities to debunk the alleged powers of such animal parts. Sadly, if it is done predominantly by traditional ("white") scientific groups, it's going to be viewed as racially motivated.

One thing I have learned is having a 5,000 year history (China and Korea) does not come without a certain amount of arrogance (right or wrong).

The million people left homeless in the Ohio Valley by the Great Flood in 1937 is the context of this amazing bit of photojournalism. It shows people lined up to get some kind of relief. Just happened to be in front of this overt White American Exceptionalism billboard. Not coincidentally, this is the America most Tea-anderthals want back, before any form of racial equality was put into law.

Blacks now drive their family in cars just like in the picture. This site brings out some disgusting racist remarks hidden in fake liberalism. If you hate, you are not an authentic liberal. I object to C&L bringing back this grotesque imagry. I love the site 95% of the time, I'm so glad Niewert is gone, with his caustic posts, don't bring that back to Amato's blog, please.

I hope the vote goes through and I hope the whole world sees that is just the United States, Micronesia, Israel and one or two other countries that are opposed to Palestinian statehood.

I cannot teach you the truths of this life in a short post, unless it sound crazy to the reader. However, I have little choice, so here goes. Mason's control the world, every President and King is a Mason. The USA was setup and created by the Mason's, who use good as a tool for a means to an end, which was from the beginning the turn to evil. They have completely 100% turned all of society into the opposite of what it once was, from men and women to money and culture and truth, and everything in between. Religion is controlled by them, Science is controlled by them, the Media in every form is controlled by them, all over the entire world. They control all world military, they control space and the world wide wireless system via the satellites, they control all puppet leaders who belong to their club, the Masonic Club. I broke the Masonic Code in 2010, it's a code they use to pervert the world into thinking things which aren't true. Such as the idea of Dinosaurs existed, or that we evolved and this is science, when in fact evolution is a simple basic mathematical impossibility. (YouTube User: ThePhilosophersTruth) They have used their Media and Entertainment to pervert everyone into a world of illusion and fear and a world without God and with them and their money system as the god of this world. But in actuality they are rolling out the red carpet for their god, who is the antichrist, and he is a little grey alien and can be seen in the 1977 Close Encounters of the Third Kind movie, at the end he comes out and gives a sign of peace. The place is Devils Tower, there is an upside down into a right side up pyramid as he comes out along with the light, he is the bringer of the light, he illuminates the Illuminati, he is Lucifer, or Satan, or the Devil, he is the one who helps and awards his people with power and money and influence, his people who are the Mason's build his world up for him and prepare his way. This is why things get worse and worse, I can assure you, we as scientists know EXACTLY what to do very very easily, in every possible way about any problem there is on planet earth, these things are not done for a REASON, it's time to wake up and come out of the matrix, what's being done is being done in a scientific way with 100% precision. There are no problems, the debt is not out of control, it's exactly where they want it to be. Iran is not the enemy, Iran is the friend, their leader is on the same Masonic Club, it's all an illusion for your mind. We never went to the Moon, it was a fraud, study the evidence for yourself and know this to be true, or live the life of the illusion they created for you. Muslims are not the enemy they are the friend, just the opposite of the Masonic Media, Muslims don't murder people anymore than a Christian blows up an abortion clinic. Islam means peace, the Media is the enemy of mankind all over the world. It's time to wake up to the truth......

So the get together will have to be before then or about 4 weeks after (that is if I'm expected to show up!).

Dockweiler State Park (beach) looks good I think. It's easy to get to, we can make a fire if it goes into the evening and I like watching the planes take off. Creates a nice ambience. Ha!

I should schlep over there and find a landmark. Then we just need to set a day and time.

I'm totally down for it!

And we can bring some non-alcoholic beverages for our sober friends!

Anyway, the Tea Party Express/Freedomworks events are not being attended--as with the Romney event of only about 250 people yesterday--because folks are beginning to see that the Tea Party isn't really anything but a power grab by Republican operatives. So they're staying away, particularly because Ron Paul isn't being given any attention or time.

The one interesting comment on the program--the minuscule number of attendees at Sarah Palin's and Mittens' rallies, and yet the tendency for the media to cover them anyway.

Write your newspaper's editors!

Letter to the Editor: Speak out: Obama caves and backs tea party myths on clean air:

Last friday, President Obama announced that he would block his top advisors from issuing new standards for smog pollution, rules designed to save tens of thousands of lives. Instead he is going to stick with outdated, polluter-friendly, standards left over from the Bush administration.

In his statement, the President parroted the tea party myth that protecting our environment will hurt our economy. That isn't true and it's particularly problematic to hear the President say it at a time when Republicans are trying to rollback one environmental protection after another.

Can you take a few minutes to write a letter to the editor to spread the word and help debunk the tea party falsehoods about jobs and the environment?

From CNN World:

For the American economy – and for many other developed economies – the elephant in the room is the amount of money paid to bankers over the last five years. In the United States, the sum stands at an astounding $2.2 trillion. Extrapolating over the coming decade, the numbers would approach $5 trillion, an amount vastly larger than what both President Barack Obama’s administration and his Republican opponents seem willing to cut from further government deficits.

That $5 trillion dollars is not money invested in building roads, schools and other long-term projects, but is directly transferred from the American economy to the personal accounts of bank executives and employees. Such transfers represent as cunning a tax on everyone else as one can imagine. It feels quite iniquitous that bankers, having helped cause today’s financial and economic troubles, are the only class that is not suffering from them – and in many cases are actually benefiting.

Corruption favors the wealthy.

Ape-Man's picture

All we need to do is get that 5 trillion back along with the 2.3 trillion that Rumsfeld lost in 2001, and we'll be laughing.
