Of all the disgusting things that lobbyists have done to our country, this one ranks right up there with vomit and sipping anti-freeze from a straw.
Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman on Monday said he is preparing legislation that would ban gay athletes from joining the National Football League. Burkman in a statement said he has garnered political support for the bill, though his statement didn’t mention any specific lawmakers who are behind it.
”We are losing our decency as a nation,” Burkman said in a statement. "Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?”
Burkman said he came up with the idea after college football star Michael Sam publicly revealed he is gay a few weeks ago. Burkman was not available to speak with The Hill but urged Congress to act in his statement.
“If the NFL has no morals and no values, then Congress must find values for it,” Burkman said.

Burkman's firm, JM Burkman & Associates, signed 70 new clients last year, the most of any K Street firm, a recent review by The Hill found. The four-lobbyist firm specializes in helping companies secure contracts with the federal government.
Who the f*&k is Jack Burkman, you ask? You may remember him as a creepy conservative MSNBC pundit back from the George W. Bush era.
He said this to defend Bush's Hurricane Katrina nightmare in 2005:

So I ask, who the hell is he to talk about the "morals" and "values" of America? And isn't he one of the "keep the government out of my business" conservatives?
Here's the twist to this much-publicized story: Burkman's brother is gay.
Seattle-based anesthesiologist Dr. Jim Burkman spoke to Stein about his objections to what his brother was doing:
"I think the idea that he is pushing legislation that is just hurtful and ridiculous is just plain stupid. He is not a legislator and he can't really push legislation. I don't think there are any cosponsors for a bill. It is just an attention grab and a media grab to pander to those folks who pay him to lobby on their behalf. He is my brother and I love him, and we don't see eye-to-eye on any political issues, certainly gay rights. But I told him years ago he should back off on gay issues, and if he ever crosses the line I would be happy to speak up as his gay brother. Today I felt he crossed the line."
Dr. Burkman even took to Twitter to tell Sam he disagreed with his brother and supported the Missouri lineman:
