The Baltimore Ravens took matters into their own hands. They terminated Ray Rice's contract and dumped him from the team today after newly released video by TMZ today showed how he knocked his girlfriend unconscious in an elevator.

This is a complete turnaround by the team after they vociferously defended Rice's behavior after he received a mere two-game suspension from the NFL.
The Ravens collectively refuse to recognize the monstrosity of this act.When the suspension came down, head coach John Harbaugh said it was "not a big deal," per NFL.com, and he "stands behind" Rice, who he declared "a heck of a guy." Incredibly, Harbaugh said the whole mess was "good for kids" to learn how consequences work.
