I've had a lot of bad mixed in with the good this year, so let's start with the basics. I'm glad that crashing into a concrete abutment didn't kill me. I'm glad to welcome a new grandchild into the world, and that my brother gets to legally marry his life's partner tomorrow. I'm glad for my family, which is not always infuriating.
