Sheriff Joe, the Toughest Sheriff in the West, has called his 'posse' for back up.

Specifically, Arpaio was looking to the 250,000 Arizonans who carry concealed weapons permits to help keep the peace.

But there are some in law enforcement who are calling this a bad idea.

Steve Henry, chief deputy of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, said untrained gun owners could add to chaotic situations at big events, increasing the risk to innocent bystanders.

Who cares what that silly deputy Sheriff says down there in Pinal County (Home of Tucson), Sheriff Joe has been doing this sort of civilian brand of law enforcement for over two decades. He called his posse to guard the malls in 1993 and it continues still. The day before the San Bernardino shooting, Arpaio called upon the help of armed citizens, a quarter million of them, and I'm sure last week's massacre did nothing but strengthen his resolve. He also boasts about the easy win he should garner next year when he runs, yet again, for Maricopa Cty. Sheriff.

Alan inquires about the latest Trump-inspired horror, the banning of anyone who follows Islam, with over 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide; how is this practical? As predicted, he answered in a way that doesn't show any disdain for the bloviating GOP front runner, he almost endorsed his shenanigans with milquetoast responses like:

I don't know the nuts and bolts, where he's coming from on that issue. I don't have a position yet, I like to know what he's talking about. My position has always been, we welcome all the people if they come into this country legally. I don't know everything he knows, I gotta know the facts. He may have a good reason, I don't know?'

COLMES: Would you support Trump's idea of I.D. Badges for Muslims?

ARPAIO: I don't know about that. I'm not concerned with that issue, I'm the Maricopa County Sheriff.

As far as the gun laws in his state, Arpaio became indignant over California Governor Jerry Brown's disapproval of Arizona's gun laws. He wished to remind the governor that he has enough problems in California, don't bother with his state. Besides, it would be against his NRA masters' protocol if he admits that having disparate gun laws in different states presents the quagmire of not being able to regulate all the guns that arrive in your state from these adjacent gun-crazed Red states.

Colmes attempted to close the interview with a semblance of rationality and reason. So he begged Arpaio to admit that the birth certificate matter is settled. Of course, Arpaio drones on about all the press conferences and evidence the MSM has missed regarding his claims. President Obama, as far as the 83 y.o. Sheriff is concerned, has yet to show 'official' state documents proving his American birthright. He's certainly a die hard Birther.
