I'm sure like a lot of other towns around this nation, everything is swathed in green around here this week to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I guess most never got the memo that St. Paddy's color was actually blue.

I'm am bringing music made by the Irish to the club through the 17th. I'll never forget the first time I heard this Belfast combo, Still Little Fingers. It was 1979 and I was a junior high kid. This came crackling over from the college radio station airwaves and on to my little transistor radio. It was jarring. It was rough. And it was awesome to my 12 year old ears. The next day I ordered the record from the local head shop/record store (it was the only place in town that would even dare to stock so called punk rock records.) It also ended up being the first song I actually kind of mastered on guitar.

What are you listening to tonight?
