Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday said that his presidential campaign and his former reality show, The Apprentice, were both successful for the same reason: He is not a "boring" person.

During an interview on Fox & Friends, Trump warned that his supporters would revolt if the nomination was awarded to someone else at a brokered convention.

"I mean, the biggest story in politics is all these people coming out to vote, and I'll take credit for that," the billionaire candidate explained. "If I weren't in the race, you'd have the same as you did four years ago, just the same boring things that would be just boring, that's the way it is."

"That's why The Apprentice was so successful," he added. "I mean, say what you want. And you look at the Democrat turnout and it's down 30-35 percent, people falling asleep."
