I'll never forget the first time I heard the Ramones. I was 11 years old and I was at a Thanksgiving function over at an aunt and uncle's house. An older and much cooler cousin was holding court in the basement by playing records. Their album Road To Ruin had just come out a couple months before and he declared it the greatest record of all time. I told him I have never heard of the band before. He cued up "I Wanna Be Sedated" and my life was changed forever.

The Ramones became ubiquitous in my orbit after that for many years. It's weird to think that Joey Ramone has been gone 15 years to the day today.

What are you listening to tonight?
