Today, I received another useless email from Vegas' infamous ammosexual State Senator, Michele Fiore. I was taken aback by the title:
Governor Brian Sandoval Endorsed Me.
It surprised me as well as some of my friends at C&L because the Nevada GOP Governor is supposed to be a moderate, a reasonable guy; at least when he is compared with his radical GOP contemporaries like Brownback or Abbott.
Thankfully, Sarah, one of our writers, noticed that she was actually boasting that the governor is not endorsing her run for the 'House of Representin.' Fiore duplicitously placed this old endorsement at the top of the email, which leads the reader to believe Sandoval is on her side. I located the original endorsement, which was from October, 2014.
Here's her email's wording:
Dear Friends,
Endorsements are something that politicians covet. They actively seek them out and when they get the ones they want, they shout them from the roof tops. There’s fewer endorsements they covet more than the endorsement of the sitting governor from their own party and state.
However, I'm NOT most politicians. While there was a time when I was proud to have the endorsement of Governor Brian Sandoval, I am proud to NOT have his endorsement this time. So what has changed? Not me, I’m still the same anti-tax, anti-big government, 2nd amendment defending woman I’ve always been. But how about the Governor? He is not the same person that endorsed me. From massive tax increases, drivers [sic] licenses for illegal aliens, to transgender bathrooms. He has turned his back on the conservative values he campaigned on.
So that is why I consider losing his endorsement the greatest endorsement of all. Because I will never change who I am. So if you want a true conservative who will not change once elected, I’m your woman and I hope I can count on your vote because you can always count on me.
She asks for contributions and for the voter to take a friend to the polls tomorrow for the GOP Primary, nothing unusual there. But, this email, treacherous as it was, wasn't half as bad as the email she sent earlier. The email Fiore sent early Monday at 4:00 am was entitled:
Sending a piece of my heart to Florida
This email had not one single reference to the problem of the idiotic proliferation of assault rifles or the hate crime that was committed against all LGBT Americans. Just her bullsh*t prayer for the victims. Here are a few lines:
Once again terrorism has visited an American city with horrifying results. I want to start by sending my entire family's thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims. To the police officers who ended the nightmare and the countless first responders that dealt with the aftermath, you have my sincere gratitude and the gratitude of a grateful nation for your dedication and heroism....I wish our law enforcement officials the best of luck in hunting down any other individuals involved without mercy.
Isn't she the same person who the law enforcement community in Nevada recently denounced? I guess she forgot about that. We didn't. Remember this?
