Mike Pence desperately wants to pretend he's Ronald Reagan incarnate, but it just didn't work out for him that way.
Reminding Pence of his running-mate's declarations, Kaine said, "“When Donald Trump says women should be punished or Mexicans are rapists and criminals — and John McCain's not a hero — he’s showing you who he is,”
Pence rolled his eyes a bit before responding, “Senator, you whipped out that Mexican thing again.”
Kaine shot back, "You can defend it?"
Pence couldn't defend it. He tried to claim Trump also said there were some who were "good people."
Trump never said that.
Twitter isn't letting it go.
I just don't see this line doing Pence and Trump much good, do you?
