My mom's father was a truck driver. I remember a a few years as a child where he did truck trees for Christmas. And yes, he had this song on an 8 track tape so he could bump it in his rig.

Red doesn't get much credit these days for his part of popularizing the "Bakersfield Sound" but he was an integral part of it. He passed away in early 2016 but I got to see him live a few years ago. I sang along to every song he preformed.
