Erick Erickson told Fox and Friends that HHS Tom Price needs to fly private jets for protection because "the left wants him dead" and if that happened, journalists would be smiling.

Fox and Friends will got to any lengths to defend the Trump administration, even as far as promoting the idea that the entire Democratic Party has a hit out on Tom Price because he wants to end Obamacare.

See, IOKIYAR, so for Price it's perfectly fine to use federal dollars, 300K of them to use private jets for travel.

During President Obama's tenure, HHS's Sylvia Mathews Burwell and Kathleen Sebelius, flew commercially in the continental United States.

After interviewing Erickson about the new Trumpcare bill, Doocy turned his attention to the new reports about Price's jet travel.

Doocy said, "A number of people on the political left are upset that Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price has been traveling around the country on chartered jets, government jets, suggesting we really can't afford that carbon footprint and all that other stuff."

Steve Doocy and his other Fox & Friends co-hosts made it their mission to criticize and attack every single spoken word, dollar spent and legislation passed from the Obama administration so watching them cavalierly mock jet travel over the "carbon footprint" effect is quite comical, but not funny.

Erickson, who normally scowls at government spending brought up a nonsensical defense and apparent boogie man.

Erickson said, "Well, have they forgotten James Hodgkinson? I mean it wasn't that long ago that a left-wing Democrat fueled by Democratic rhetoric on Obamacare tried to mass assassinate Republicans in Congress."

He continued, "This is the man, the secretary of Health and Human Services, who would oversee repeal of Obamacare. Imagine the death threats he's getting right now. I mean, I remember the genteel days of George Bush when protesters showed up at Karl Rove's house. And now they're going out there and they're throwing rocks at cops and shooting Republicans."

While that attack was monstrous to be sure, using it as an excuse to apologize for Price's malfeasance to fly private jets isn't rational, but rather moronic.

Doocy replied, "Sure. Absolutely. And to take a look at some of the headlines, The Washington Post put up "The Trump administration's private plane problem." CNN had "Tom Price's private jet problem." And The Guardian had "The White House's private jet problem," Politico -- it goes on and on."

Erickson said, "Well listen, if something bad happened to Tom Price, a lot of the reporters writing these headlines would probably be smiling because they don't like him. They're liberals. And Tom Price needs to be protected. The left wants him dead, frankly, because he's trying to repeal Obamacare."

Hyperbolic, much? That's what Erickson came up with, really?

Journalists would be singing kumbaya because Price was murdered? This is insipid even for Erick.
