Fox News on Thursday accused former First Lady Michelle Obama of playing "the race card" after she pointed out that Republican Party demographics include a larger share of older white men.

At the Pennsylvania Conference for Women on Tuesday, Obama noted that many people had difficulty trusting the Republicans to look after their interests because GOP lawmakers are often "all men, all white."

Obama remarked on the "color palette" at president's annual State of the Union Address, where the Republican side appears "literally gray and white."

By Thursday, a blaring Fox News headline slammed the former first lady: "Michelle Obama Plays Race Card."

The headline was did not go without notice on Twitter.
