Fox News's Tucker Carlson is straight-up promoting nicotine usage. On Friday, he once again launched into a rant against marijuana while supporting cigarettes. Tuckems said that efforts to ban menthol cigarettes are somehow "promoting weed to your children."

"Boy, do they hate tobacco, and it's not because it causes cancer. They don't care about your health," Carlson insisted.

"They closed the gyms during COVID. Anybody who closed a gym during a pandemic that kills people who are fat clearly doesn't care about your health at all," he continued. "They hate nicotine. They love THC. They are promoting weed to your children but they're not letting you use tobacco or even non-tobacco nicotine delivery devices which don't cause cancer. Why do they hate nicotine? Because nicotine frees your mind, and THC makes you compliant and passive. That's why."

He's clearly insane:

Republicans changed the rules last week, and now smoking is allowed in congressional offices.

Tucker did this last week, too.

Via The Independent:

On his Friday night show, Fox News personality Tucker Carlson was elated when Rep Troy Nehls of Texas appeared to light up a cigar live on his show.

Mr. Carlson was defending the right of members of the House of Representatives to smoke inside their congressional offices, something they are now allowed to do since Republicans regained a thin majority in the lower chamber of Congress and lifted a ban.

Contrasting smoking tobacco with the use of marijuana and crack, Mr. Carlson wondered why tobacco is considered so dangerous when, in his view, the government does not feel the same way about other controlled substances.

We can't even agree with the other side about the dangers of smoking cigarettes. This year, about 127,070 deaths are expected from lung cancer (67,160 in men and 59,910 in women). I quit 443 days ago, and it was the best decision I ever made.

Also, Tucker Carlson is an asshole.
