The Florida governor used the 'it's not you, it's me' routine to defend using millions of dollars to exploit migrants and engage in human trafficking for political "gain."

Watching Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis talk his way out of using migrants as political photo ops and tools to promote his own campaign under a banner of "Bill of Rights," was disgusting.

A reporter asked DeSantis to justify using $10 million of Florida taxpayers' money to deport more migrants out of Florida.

"What's your defense of the practice and level of compassion for the families affected, and how could that $10 million of taxpayer money possibly be used to address things like the housing crisis..."

DeSantis started off by saying these migrants would be going into better circumstances via his generosity.

DeSantis then used the 'it's not you, it's me' excuse when he said made this horrible statement.

"It's not about them because these are sanctuary jurisdictions..." DeSantis said.

Of course it's about the migrants, or else you wouldn't be spending millions of dollars to play politics with their lives.

The claim that since these 'sanctuary districts' are getting the migrants they are complaining about DeSantis' stunt completely ignores the impact of the horrific circumstances these migrants face before getting to Florida.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was the first odious lawmaker to pull this stunt. And don't forget that DeSantis actually had to find migrants in Texas in order to pull the stunt in the first place!

DeSantis allegedly used interest earned from Covid funds to pay for his political stunt. Money that belonged to the taxpayers of Florida.

DeSantis took credit and said his actions "highlighted the issue in a way that would not have been highlighted any other way." That's a lie.

Republicans and right-wing media scream about the border every waking moment of every day. And then they use human beings to get votes from their racist Republican base.

What a horrible man.
