“Nature has produced only one Russia – it has no rival” reads at the end of the clash between the Statue of Liberty and the Volgograd monument “Motherland calls!”. Are the words historically attributed to Pietro Alekseevi? Romanov, aka Peter I “The Great”, first Tsar of Russia. In the video that has been circulating on Western social networks for a couple of days, the two iconic monuments can be seen fighting against the backdrop of Moscow and New York. As they challenge one another with swords and the other with a torch, iconic places of the Russian capital can be glimpsed and the Kremlin stands out in particular. Once the Statue of Liberty is decapitated, the famous quote from Peter “The Great” appears superimposed, a character particularly loved by Vladimir Putin.
