Politics Girl has some questions for those who vote Republicans. She also nails it when she points out that if the Republican voter is not a racist, or a fascist, or a bigot, or a greed-driven asshat, the fact that they still vote for those who are means that they are still part of the problem. Sadly, many of them are any or all of those things. The good news is that they can change. For example, my late father had always been a staunch Republican, but when he saw what Scott Walker was doing to the state of Wisconsin, he was the first to sign the recall petitions that I was carrying. Even though he never had a complete reversal in his attitude, there were chinks in his hate, which was better than nothing.
