"These actions are in addition to other progress we’re making to lower costs for American families, holding corporations accountable and growing our economy from the bottom up in the middle out, not just the top down," Biden said.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg joined President Biden in announcing plans for new airline regulations to require them to compensate travelers and cover expenses for meals, rideshares, taxis, and hotel rooms to stranded passengers when the companies are at fault for any disruptions with travel.

"I know how frustrated many of you are with the service you get from your U.S. airlines," Biden said. "That's why our top priority has been to get American air travelers a better deal."

“If your airline is very delayed or canceled, and the airline could’ve prevented that, you deserve more than just getting the price of your ticket. You deserve to be fully compensated," Biden continued. "Your time matters. The impact on your life matters."

"These actions are in addition to other progress we’re making to lower costs for American families, holding corporations accountable and growing our economy from the bottom up in the middle out, not just the top down," Biden said.

He's so refreshing after the last guy.
