Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fl) was on Fox News, and they discussed the Durham report that ended in a whimper. Durham did not recommend any charges. Donalds somehow thinks that an investigation should be opened up into Hillary Clinton, the woman who has been investigated for 30 years.
Host John Roberts asked Donalds about "allegations in the Durham report about four investigations in the Clinton Foundation that were being undertaken by three FBI field offices suddenly being shut down shortly before the 2016 election."
"Your colleague in the house, Matt Gaetz, and your former colleague in the house, Jason Chaffetz, want those investigations reopened," Roberts continued. "If the DOJ and the FBI refuse to do it, should there be congressional investigations?"
"Oh no, I totally agree," Donalds said.
"We should definitely be looking into this because you have a situation here where they had some basis of information to start those inquiries, and the report clearly shows you had, I believe it was Peter Strzok and other people high up in the FBI, who came in through it in one meeting and shut it all down with no reasoning," he insisted.
"Then you had back-channel text messages and emails saying, well look, Hillary might be president, so do you think she's gonna reward you if you continue to look into this?" he continued. "It stinks, and the American people need to know about it."
"So I think those investigations should be restarted," he added.
I'm only surprised he didn't bring up her emails. Doesn't he have a job to do? How about fighting against inflation for his constituents? I'm just throwing that out there. Our current Congress is dysfunctional because of the babbling idiots on the right.
I know what we should investigate. That time in 2000 when Donalds pleaded no contest to a felony bribery charge as part of a scheme to defraud a bank. Now there's an idea.
