Putin's propagandists were back at it on Fox "news" this Saturday. Trump's new Press Secretary Katie Zacharia joined the liars on Fox & Friends Weekend and was asked about Trump's announcement that he had struck a deal with Russia to import over 300,000 tons of diesel to America and the global marketplace.

Even though experts have said the deal isn't likely to lower diesel prices in any meaningful way, Zacharia immediately proceeded to gaslight the Fox audience with this nonsense:

JENKINS: But let's go right to the issue, because this diesel announcement, even though it's getting criticism from Zelensky, is quite significant as Americans are struggling with pain at the pump. And, of course, diesel prices really affect all aspects of our lives.

ZACHARIA: Yeah, well, President Trump has heard that people are frustrated with gas prices and frustrated with the increase in grocery prices, and he is delivering what he always does, which is solutions.

And though there are frustrations with some, President Trump has never been unambiguous. He is an America First president. He is putting America's interests first, American citizens first, with this deal. And we will have cheaper gas and cheaper groceries with this diesel deal.

Which was followed by Campos-Duffy attacking Zelensky, inflating the casualty numbers in the conflict, and pretending that Trump isn't doing his best to help and capitulate to Putin, as Zacharia nodded along and then said she agreed with her.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: You know, Katie, the criticism is really interesting. He's getting it from the left. He's getting it from the right. He's getting it from that ingrate, Zelensky, who keeps blowing up refineries and making things more complicated for the president ahead of the midterms.

What the people on the left and right are worried about, and Zelensky too — these are people who want war — is that a deal with Russia on diesel could possibly mean we get an end to the Ukraine war.

Which would be amazing. We could spend less money there. We could stop the killing. I mean, there have been a million kids killed on the Russian side, a million on the Ukraine side.

This could be good not just for diesel prices, but if you care about peace and saving lives.

ZACHARIA: Yeah, I agree, Rachel. And listen, President Trump solved eight conflicts in under 12 months in his first year...

CAMPOS-DUFFY: God bless him.

ZACHARIA: ...and he will absolutely bring an end to this during his term. And I am in full agreement with you that this deal is not actually deleterious to bringing peace. In fact, it works toward peace.

And I believe he's showing that he's going to be able to work a deal here. I fully trust him. He did it with Venezuela, he did it with Canada, and he did it with Greenland. So I think we're going to see some historic wins, and President Trump is going to deliver that.

We just have to make sure we keep winning these races. Going back to his rally in Syracuse, I've never seen so much energy during the midterms. I worked on the '06 midterms, which we did lose, and I've never seen a president work this hard for midterm races.

Although the war's toll has been enormous, CSIS has estimated combined total deaths at roughly 425,000–465,000. “A million” roughly matches Russia’s total casualties, but that count includes wounded and missing. It doesn’t match deaths, and Ukraine’s casualty total is about half that.

Here's more on the UN's estimate on the number of children killed:

As of 1 September, Russia had killed 739 Ukrainian children and injured 2,840 since the full-scale invasion began, according to the directorate, while the UN's own verified count for the same period is higher, at 820 children killed and 3,126 injured. Russia has illegally deported or displaced a further 20,610—abducted, in the directorate's words. Europol has previously traced 45 deported children all the way to the military units that moved them and handed the evidence to Kyiv.

Campos-Duffy doing her best to help Trump pressure Zelensky into capitulating to Putin.
