It's incidents like these that make one wish there were such a thing as karma, because if anyone deserves it, it'd be Susan Collins.

A Republican political group accidentally spent nearly $25,000 running ads to help Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, in Portland.
Portland, Oregon, that is. Not Portland, Maine. The ad was made by Defending Main Street SuperPAC Inc., which is linked to the center-right Republican Main Street Partnership. It goes after Maine Democratic nominee Troy Jackson as a tax-hiker, labeling him “taxin’ Troy Jackson.”
Between $20,000 and $25,000 was spent to deliver the ad to viewers in the Portland, Oregon, area, according to Google Political Ad Transparency Center. The market stretches into Washington state.
It wasn't their fault, according to the Super PAC.
Sarah Chamberlain, president and CEO of the Republican Main Street Partnership, said the ad was taken down in Oregon after the group learned of the mix-up.
Reached by phone, she said she’s “absolutely furious” that the ad buyer, Cross Screen Media, made such a “ridiculous” error, saying it was not the fault of the PAC.
“The buyers made a mistake on one of the placements. It’s down now and they’re running it in Portland, Maine,” Chamberlain said. “It has nothing to do with us. I would never run an ad in Portland, Oregon, for Susan Collins, for Christ’s sake.”
Lillian Belle in Portland, Oregon, noticed something was weird.
Amazing stuff. A Republican SuperPAC backing Susan Collins in Maine confused Portland, Oregon with Portland, Maine and quite literally set tens of thousands of dollars on fire

GOP ad buyer mixes up Portlands, spends money meant to help Maine Sen. Susan Collins in Oregon
The PAC boosting Collins is "absolutely furious" at the "ridiculous error" made by the buyer, which takes blame and has refunded the money.
