89-year-old Mickey from California has finally had a bellyful of Trump after he reversed sanctions on Russia this Friday.
There's been a media blackout on the story over on Fox, with zero mentions of the Russian sanctions story that I could find as of this writing. Still, it was a hot topic everywhere else, including on C-SPAN's morning call-in show, Washington Journal, where there was a lot of hostility from callers, including this self-proclaimed 3-time Trump voter.
GEERGES: Here's Mickey in California, line for Republicans. [...] What's your top news story?
CALLER: Well, I hate to say it, but I am a Republican, and I'm not going to be one much longer. I am totally disgusted with the way the president has acted.
He made a statement, I think it was yesterday, about how he's on Putin's side and not Ukraine's. How disgusting can he be?
And there is a law he shouldn't... What's his name? Gosh, I can't think of it right now. I'm 89, and I voted for him three times. I will never, ever, ever vote for any Democrat or Republican again. I am going to be an independent.
What is wrong? All he wants is praise. As long as everybody's telling him how great he is, and he gets up and says how wonderful he is, then all he's worried about is other things.
Does he not care about the people, the people that need... The prices are so high. I had to sell my car. I can't afford it. But does he care? No. He likes those big shots, Putin and Xi.
And I'll tell you, we've got to get rid of him. I believe what that man said previously: the 25th Amendment. Put it on him and get him out of the White House before he kills all of us.
I'm not sure why it took her this long to realize all of these things about Trump, but it seems whatever bubble she's been living in is slowly being pierced.
It's obvious why Fox isn't covering it. They don't want more reactions like Mickey's.
