Queen's debut single from 1973, Keep Yourself Alive, was given a less than stellar reception by the public, though it was given some pretty nifty reviews. The poor sales of this song and the album on which it appeared didn't seem to deter the foursome, however, as they rarely, over the arc of the band's existence, strayed far from the bombastic, slickly produced style which was on display from the outset.
