Yes, he dodges and feints with the whole "dependency on government" thing, but he admits at about one minute in that the ads are untrue, leaving himself a tiny bit of wiggle room to back off, but not enough.

Yes, Mitt Romney is lying to viewers of those ads. And he knows it, but the campaign doesn't care. They're going full speed ahead because, well, it's working.

Just more of the scorched earth strategies he used at Bain and in the primaries. It's all about Mitt and what Mitt wants.
