"Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" -- from Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979)
In the face of the non-stop onslaught of negativity, sometimes the most subversive thing you can do is remain positive, That's how I feel most Sundays, as I look on the line-up of bobbleheads. For example, it's absolutely ludicrous that John McCain is on yet another Sunday show. But look on the bright side, how much airtime could he possibly get when former President George W. Bush and his brother Jeb are also scheduled on the show? Likewise, my eyes tend to roll when billionaires are interviewed as Very. Important. People. on news shows, as if their concerns somehow applied to most of us peons. But on this bright side, Christiane Amanpour is interviewing billionaires who have signed The Giving Pledge, voluntarily donating half of their incomes to charity.
