According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Iraq is 4,772; in Afghanistan, 2,491, of which 156 are Canadian. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 73 Iraq civilians killed.

As this is Memorial Day weekend, to honor the sacrifice these American service members have made, to date, 4,454 Americans service members have died in Iraq, 1,595 in Afghanistan. Their names are available here, courtesy of Washington Post's Faces of the Fallen Project.
