Ludacris had some powerful comments about the NFL’s recent support for Black Lives Matter and the need for the league to apologize to Colin Kaepernick and “say his name.”
In politics, sports and social media, today was a bad day. But at least we're safe from a liberal zombie apocalypse.
The NFL's Roger Goodell gets embarrassed again in the Ray Rice Fiasco as a federal judge overturns indefinite suspension
Roger Goodell suffered another blow to his authority, judgment and his handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence case when a judge threw out his indefinite suspension of Ray Rice.
The NFL has 1,856 employees and paid $107.7 million per year in salaries last year. Goodell was paid more than $44 million. That means more than 40 percent of the organization’s entire payroll went to one individual. See the problem?
South Park lampoons Roger Goodell as a robot of the NFL who repeats nonsensical platitudes until he breaks. It's a "Goodellbot"
(The Wrap) ESPN suspended sports columnist and on-air personality Bill Simmons for three weeks following a profanity-laced rant against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, which came in the Tuesday edition of his regular “B.S. Report” podcast. “I just think not enough is being made out of the fact that they knew about the tape and they knew what was on it, Simmons said in his podcast. “Goodell, if he didn't know what was on that tape, he's a liar. I'm just saying it. He is lying. I think that dude is lying. If you put him up on a lie detector test that guy would fail.” “For all these people to pretend they didn't know is such fucking bullshit,” he continued. “It really is – it's such fucking bullshit. And for him to go in that press conference and pretend otherwise, I was so insulted. I really was.”
Apparently Frank Luntz is tired of being the nerdy political guy so he's latched himself onto the NFL and his handy work was quite evident in Roger Goodell's nightmarish press conference.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's glaringly stupid and self-serving press conference proved irresistible fodder for John Oliver, who summed it up with: "You know that things are not going well when you lose the moral high ground to a TMZ reporter." Quite.
