"I think maybe we'll see her greenlight some of these other hardline tactics these folks have been pushing for, like, say fining Trump officials who are ignoring these subpoenas," said Bloomberg reporter Rachel Cade.

"His work was violated enough that he's willing to speak out about what should be the correct interpretation," David Gregory speculated.

Nicolette John says she knew how hard it was to do it by herself, and she wanted to help others.

"By saying he'll close the border the message people get down there is, 'If you have children the gangs will turn into prostitutes or drug runners, leave now,' " said David Cay Johnston.
