Glenn Greenwald joined Sam Seder on Air America's Majority Report tonight to discuss the three proposed FISA bills that will likely go before the Senate early next week. As Glenn reported on Unclaimed Territory earlier today, Senator Reid told him unequivocally that the Specter Bill will not be enacted. Period.
This is good news considering the WH-Specter "compromise" would effectively legalize a highly controversial program that a federal judged already ruled illegal and unconstitutional. The last thing we need is a secret court overseeing a secret program of a secretive administration in secret. This is exactly what the Specter bill proposes. No wonder the White House supports the Specter Bill.
