FOX News Gets "Scoop" From Giuliani's Campaign
People for the American Way noticed this interesting little tidbit from the FOX News site:
Fox News reported today that "GOP frontrunner Rudy Giuliani will unveil his 'Justice Advisory Committee' this week on a two-day swing through heavily Republican western districts of Washington, D.C., home of the first presidential caucuses in 2008." Do they know something we don't?
On a related note, Tom Schaller wonders if Rudy isn't becoming the 2008 Campaign's version of John Kerry.

So, when Rudy leaves this committee too, will he become a JAC off?
I hope rudy dont ride past any firehouses in his travels, he might get hosed off!
Why is the frontrunner the worst candidate they have? Are the republicans really that stupid?
rudy should be introduced to a fireman's hole for all the lies he tells.
Guiliani entered the race too soon. My redneck friends liked him, but 20 months of campaigning is just too much time for such a sleazball to be in the public spotlight. Even the rubes will find out just how much of a creep Guiliani is in 20 months.
Here is a good clip that explains why we shouldn't be tolerating all this bullshit government secrecy.

Speaking of Guiliani, watch this video:

It has been removed from youtube many times, so watch it while it is still up...
‘Justice Advisory Committee’
that sounds Cardassian. Or fascist.
miss_kitty @ 9:
Rudy is buying into Republican Newspeak a la George Orwell ... you know, "War is Peace" and "No Child Left Behind". Next comes the Dick Cheney Ministry of Truth and the Alberto Gonzoles Ministry of Justice. Unfortunately, if you repeat the propaganda often enough, people start to believe it's fact.
Rudy's Justice Advisory Committee ? Whats that a baseball bat to the head or a good working over in a back alley?
I don't think we should be knocking Rudy because we'll end up facing Romney who would be a stronger candidate in the general election, albeit Hillary will still win.
grandpa @ 12:
Isn't it early? I'm not American, so sometimes I don't understand these non-stop political campaigns. When does each party choose the one guy/gal (guys/gals including VP) whom people vote for?
And don't let them unleash Romney. He smells sooooo sooo good I might even vote for him (like I've been hypnotized). Do you really think a scumbag like Guiliani will get the votes needed? He might be the best ghoul to parade in front of the nation; he might scare the hell out of people. Or how do pics of Rudy in drag go over with the 28%, or the divorces, or the... ???
grandpa @ 12:
If Hillary does win, and Bill goes for another bj in the Oval Office while she's not looking, is that a constitutional crisis?? Or is it just chutzpah?
Maybe it's just me, but I never thought rudy had a chance to start with.
Who in the hell votes for someone whose own children won't support him?
Inform your wife of a divorce via a news conference? That's "presidential?"
I'm going with "no" on that one.
rudy put the fork in his campaign long before he even declared. This latest piece of news is just something to make me feel a little bit better before I go on to the next Iraq story.
gee, olsen, federalist society; thompson, federalist; estrada, federalist
is he going to get heritage society interns, signers for the judeo-christian council for constitutional restoration, and judicial confirmation network members on board too ??
it'll be so new and differnt
Maybe this is like his version of the Justice League of America? Which modern super heroes might be in this League?
he's the 2008 version of Clinton, with his affairs and sleazy friends...
Consistent with past Republofascist policy, the committee will be renamed the Just-Us Advisory Committee since every Neocon knows that the real purpose of political service is to enrich yourself and your cronies at public expense.
Rudy's probably going to be announcing that the long-in-construction FEMA death camps that have been going up across this great land of ours will be opening for business the day he is inaugurated. Deciding who lives and who dies will be the work of a "Justice Advisory Committee" that he will create as a cabinet-level function. Calling it the "Justice Advisory Committee" will give it just the right Orwellian touch that fascist psychos like he seem to be so enamored of.
