Daily Show: Bush's Fuzzy al Qaeda Math
By SilentPatriot Thursday Jul 19, 2007 11:50am
Jon takes a look back at all the "progress" President Bush says we've made against al Qaeda. Unfortunately for Bush, his own intelligence community vehemently disagrees.

This is the tragic irony of our foreign policy over the past six years. Instead of permanently destroying al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan -- where they are currently regrouping and emerging even stronger -- we decided to invade a country that did not attack us nor have the capability to attack us, thereby creating a failed state in which the new terrorists we've created can station themselves. Brilliant!

Joe in the Morning on MSNBC played that clip this morning on his show. There are a ton of things that I don't agree with Joe on, but I gotta say, if he plays clips like these, he's kinda okay.
You would think the white house would have noticed these screw ups when they were writing bush's speeches that he READS.
but we wouldnt have permanent bases and mega embassies in Iraq if we didnt invade them! Isnt that more important? (now cut it out with "Bring the troops home" - until you explain to me who those bases we're building are for!)
pissed off patricia @ 1:
Hey POP. The scoundrels (I'm trying to tone down the rhetoric) in the WH simply don't think enough of the sheeple of this country to worry about something as pesky as the truth!
Bush and Co. are a bunch of Liars, we on the other hand are the fools that allow it....... STAND UP NOW!!! to not do anything about this man is un-patriotic. Thank you John Stewart for your roll on Comedy Central.
Mislead the People, Mislead the Sheeple
War, while important, also tends to be something that distracts us from other equally-important issues.
Such as the destruction of our dollar and real estate market.
I got off the "all-war, all the time" bandwagon two years ago. There are bigger fish to fry, but we refuse to even catch them as they swim right in front of our faces.
Bush isn't the sharpest charcoal briquette in the bag.
50% killed or captured - May 1,2003
66% killed or captured - Sept.7,2003
2003 was a good year.
75% killed or captured - Oct. 19,2004
How many were there to start with ?? 5000 maybe
So maybe by Dec. 31,2004 , 80% were killed or captured ,
leaving 1000 stragglers maybe 2000 tops if tney started with 10,000..
1000 to 2000 stragglles have kept the CIA and the Pentagon
running in circles for three years and at what cost to the American tax payer?
Something is WRONG.
" This is the tragic irony of our foreign policy in the past six years"
should read
" This is the tragic irony of our Middle East foreign policy since 1950"
SilentPatriot-
Did you intend to file this under Colbert? No snark, just checking.
It's high time that he National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.)(NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, be enacted, and that John Stewart and Steve Colbert's show be put on hold indefinitely and the anchormen be imprisoned for they directly oppose our nation's fight on the war on terror. Time for Bush to Act Now !!! to save our democracy and the war on terror.
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy was he?
Left Behind Advocate @ 10:
yeah and put me on that list too quizzling!
tyree @ 12:
Me too and while at it, I suspect KO would qualify also...along with millions of us.
— we decided to invade a country that did not attack us nor have the capability to attack us, thereby creating a failed state in which the new terrorists we’ve created can station themselves. Brilliant!
-Actually, we have to feed the Military Industrial Complex some how.
I'd say the plan is going rather well.
News break:
President Dick Cheney! On Saturday! Two hours!I can't even make sentences I am too shocked!
I would love to see what TDS says about this!F@ck!
News says: ............."BUSH will undergo colonoscopy tomorrow" and HE......... will hand presidential POWER over.............. to CHENEY during proceedure.
This MIGHT just be enough time for CHENEY and ROVE and his people to pull another scheme.
What SCHEME? WE DON"T know.....they are NOT to be trusted and ALL eyes should be on the WATCH..................................................................................................................................................................
Lili @ 15:
Need more info....time/station/??
I't all going to be PR form this moment on. Heck, it's been mostly PR form the beginning. Just trying to find the right moment to delclare victory and b*gger off.
Lili @ 15:
Details please. Enquiring minds want to know...
anon @ 16:
my guess is the worms are acting up in his ass!
Doggiebobo @ 13:
The government does not need to hold you. You are not a leader, just a common folk who is mislead by the negative propaganda, and liberal left-wing talking points. You are OK, you have done nothing wrong. The government just need to imprison those who speaks the loudest against the war on terror, such as John Stewart and Steve Colbert.
Time for our government to enact and enforce the National Emergencies Act now !!!
anon @ 16:
Left Behind Advocate @ 21:
Damn and I though you were just using some sarcasm...YOU are serious aren't you? What an idiot !!!
Left Behind Advocate @ 21:
Further, how about Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd, Friedman, and ALL the other "reasonable" journalist
who have spoken out???? Damn, our prisions are going to be filled to capacity with "leaders"
Bush who hits a new low approval rate of of 24% according to AP and 19% in a Wisconson poll will turn over the reign to Prince DICK tomorrow during colonoscopy.
If the doctors are looking for cancer they are looking at the wrong place. The CANCER is in the White HOUSE.
President Dick
Must wake up!Could someone shoot me in the head I must be dreaming"
Fun Facts:
90% of insurgents captured in Iraq are Foreign Nationals.
50% of those are from Saudi Arabia.
Of the remaining 40% the majority are from Syria and Jordan.
Yet, BushCo and President Cheney keep saying how Iranian militants are the reason we're losing in Iraq,
and that's one more reason we should bomb bomb Iran.
Not sure I totally agree with Jon's analysis though I loved the delievery.. Freakin halarious as usual... Thing is, I'm not entirely certain we didn't elect Hypothetical Q. Dumbass as our president.. The other thing I'm a little shaky on...
Jon? I don't think they are pretending at that retarded bit... On a broader note and in thinking about something else I read today... Isn't it just grand that we have two 'total believers' running the world towards oblivion?? Our Illustrius idiot an chief and everyones favorite boogieman OBL..... I just feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing these two brains are dead set certain 'Geeooedd' is on 'their' side... But I gotta wonder... Whose on all the rest of us side??? IT'd be nice if we at least had an adult trying to stick up for us.. But don't look like thats happenin either... I mean Jon, and Steve and Kieth are cool and all, but they are more or less just sayin in a national fourum what we're all ranting about in private.. But they in their capacity can't really make Chimpy and OBL stop dicking around...sadly enough... Thats gonna end up being up to usa........Can I get an 'IMPEACH THE PRICK'!!! Amen....................JD
Sounds like a good time to attack Iran. I hope.
Kee-rap.... Up to 'us', 'US' not usa... though theirs some truth to that too... If you think of us as part of the usa.. but yea... OK....JD
That was snark above
Lili @ 26:
"No abnormalities found"....NOT correct, the physicians were exploring the wrong end of that asswhipe.
This wasn't an invasion...it was a fact finding mission. lol
It's great watching Bush's spokespeople try and spin what can't be spun. Saying al-quaida is weaker than what it would have been at the same time that an NIE (you know, those pieces of paper that contain the combined research and data of the entire U.S. intelligence community) says otherwise is just crazy and pathetic.
im sure left behind idjit would have made a swell hitler youth leader!
Lili @ 26:
Thank's for the article.
stevie @ 27:
As the saying goes..."Figures don't lie, but liars will figure."
Jack Damage @ 28:
I can't get my mouth around the word "Geeooed".
The Daily Show consistently demonstrates the dishonesty and incompetence of the Bush Administration by playing video tapes of Bush's previous statements. In stark contrast, the networks virtually never hold Bush accountable for his prior comments and rarely juxtapose his contradictory public statements. This allows Bush and company to play upon the collective amnesia of the American public and create their own neoconservative reality anytime they address the public.
The CIA database "Al Queda" or "AL CIAda" exist only in the minds of the sheeple and Faux news fans. Stop buying the Bush Bull. Our country is about to go down, big time. Watch for another fake or staged terror attack or the sinking of the Aircraft carrier Enterprise in the Persian Gulf and of course blaming the sinking of the enterprise on Iran or the staged terror attack on Al CIAda. Once this occurs, we will be in a full police state, with bush/cheney totally in charge of everything. Any resistance will not be tolerated. Marshal law is not fun folks, as we are about to find out.
Its happening now, PLEASE WAKE UP AMERICA! The only possible fix now is to immediately impeach Bush/Cheney, which is highly unlikely, as the Congress and Senate are all bought and paid for and they think they will be part of the new government, which remains to be seen.
Al CIAda gonna get you!
This is no joke, no conspiracy theory, its happening now folks, so wake up!
Rhl @ 39:
You are exactly right....and it is the mainstream media who are lazy, incompetent and responsible for not giving
the viewing/listening auidences the contradictory statements sooooooo often flowing forth from bush-lite's
mouth....tho most are in reality pulled from his ass.
Media are not lazy--they went great lengths to stab Nixon and Clinton--non stop ! But when the Bush frat clan cater to the military/oil barons,Silence is golden and profitable for the [deleted--don't go there] media.
This wil be the everlasting legacy of George W. Bush and his presidency: ignore the facts, continue the lies. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: history will not be kind to this President or his Administration.
The Champ is out.
Evil Dick's finger on "the button" tomorrow -- even for only 2 hours -- gives me pause.
Left Behind Advocate @ 21:
Which would put, oh, what...70% of the population behind bars. What next, L-i-B-er-A-l, re-education camps for the masses of "deluded" sheeple? Get a clue....the "rapture" is a con perpetrated by grifters, designed to separate you from your reason.
George @ 42:
I hear you, however, I must disagree to some extent...the media TODAY is not the same as when Nixon
and Clinton were in office. Media is seemingly totally owned/controled by BIG business, so entertainment
and not news is their game-plan,solely for profit.
Is Tony Snowjob giving Busholini his colonoscopy?
we have grown neocon men using clap for tinkerbell as official policy. They don't care how many people die as long as their self esteem isn't hurt by being proven wrong
Frances Townsend originate from Brownie's Arabian Horse circuit? or from Bible U?
Doggiebobo @ 41:
And thank you both of you for saying so well just what so many of us thinkmeeting up with like minds can be comforting in such depressing times. And HOPEFULLY it also motivates many of us to write letters to legislators and the media. I recently sent a story idea to CNN and I actually SAW them address that very subject yesterday! Who knows if it was because of my email - but it did make me feel like MAYBE I had made a teeny tiny difference.
The future is bleak my friends!
http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Oldline_Republican_warns_somethings_in_wor...
Arianna Huffington couldn't have said it better yesterday:
"The president vowed to keep us safer and, according to 16 intelligence agencies [NIE report], he has failed. Period. End of story."
gempei;
Oh, I guess you just need to watch some televangelista T.V.... If you can stomach that..You'll get the hang of it soon enough... Falwell's not around anymore, but there are plenty of other gasbags steppin up to that plate....JD
Inca -- Busholini has failed at EVERYTHING in his life -- why would anyone think he'd succeed at the toughest job in the entire world?

You tagged the post wrong, its the Daily show not the Colbert report;)
Dr. Acula @ 54:
True! Anyone remember Bush's first venture, an oil & gas concern by the name of Arbusto? It's been one consistent failure after another since.
They're setting up the next scenario - aka - false flag op!

That wasn't me, that was you!
I, too, am bad at fractions. But I can smell a dirty dealing idiot a mile away.
gempei @ 36:
Just go hunting with him. He'll shoot ya in the face.
George @ 42:
I sincerely hope the sitemonitor is keeping an eye on these bizarre bigoted conspiracy theory nuts...

Funny how the intel estimates have the terrorist whipped and on the run and alternately gaining ever-increasing strength, according to the political whims du jur of the Bush junta. At this point I wouldn't believe the people who craft these national intelligence reports if the told me that the sky is usually blue. Too many lies. Too many deceptions. Too many years of a steady offering of outrageous bullshit.
Even that WH spokeswoman didn't believe the horseshit she was spewing - she closed her eyes everytime she told a lie.
When is it finally going to become clear that the Bush/Dark Lord team needs to be impeached? What is it going to take?
Liberal AND Proud @ 60:
Did Bush have a Freudian slip? Who is "dropping" bombs in Iraq?
Did Bush have a Freudian slip? Who is "dropping" bombs in Iraq?

Why is this under the Colbert Report? I'm pretty sure this is the Daily Show. Just thought ya oughta know.
The Champ is out.
And I'm ashamed to say this, but that clip of Bushie from October 19th, 2004 was in my hometown of New Port Richey, FL. And get this: back then, I was actually one of his few remaining supporters. It wasn't a proud period of my life. Ughhhh. If he EVER comes back here again, I'm gonna go insane.
