Colbert Defends Gonzales

colbert-gonzo-specpro.jpg "Fair and balanced" FOX News had a hard time finding someone to defend the embattled Alberto Gonzalez on FNS. They should have called Stephen...

The House of Bush begins to fall.

He's "special" alright. So special that he deserves a special prosecutor

Another example of Stephen's inherent genius.

By the way, if you haven't seen it yet, go to YouTube and search for my cough-shameless plug-cough "Conservative Serial Killers" vid.

Colbert must know Teresa Gonzales a career drug dealer who is Al Gonzales's sister. No bad if you buy drugs to know the career drug deal sister Theresa who can't be touched by the police. Yes good thing Teresa has a brother who is the Attorney General who protects all her criminal acts as you notice she has never been arrested since her brother got the head DOJ job. Colbert should know this if he doesn't it's all public knowledge because all court recorders are public. To bad Mr. Gonzales forgot to mention at his confirmation hearing that he had a sister who was a career drug dealer who he and Bush helped after she was caught with drugs/guns/money but she only got sentenced of 90 days in rehab. thanks to having friends like George W. Bush. Libby didn't do to bad either but at lease Teresa Gonzales's brother had her case dismissed so she could continue her drug dealing. It's good to have a brother who is the Attorney General when your a career drug dealer even the police know not to arrest Teresa Gonzales.

Colbert has classic moments every night

Brilliant as only Colbert can be.

I'm sick of all of these assholes.

Maybe I could take August off like congress.

Is anyone concerned that Bush will fire Gonzales and put in a recess appointment while congress is vacationing? Who would he put in? I'm think John (Death Squad) Negraponte... or maybe Fred (Executive Supremecy) Fielding.

Mental incompetence....Huh... Ya know Stevie, that's a defense that just might be 'crazy' enough to work... Clearly Al has shown all the qualifications to rate a rubber room, or at least long term therapy in an institution, involving psycho-tropic meds... Lobotomy?? Who am I to say... If he's as stupid as he's shown on film... I can't see where a lobotomy would make that much of a difference in his actions or answers....

What I have yet to see displayed by him or his dwindling supporters are actual qualifications or an aptitude for the job he actually holds.... Seems like one ought to have more qualifications than just sucking off the pres whether actual or just figeratively to rate the job of AG.... Those kinds of quals are usually reserved for interns...

OK OK people, don't freak... It was just too obvious to pass up, besides if I didn't go there, ya know some freeper would... A preemptive move in this regards just steals their snarky thunder... And besides, doesn't change anything as far as Gonzo's real situation is concerned... He's still a pathological liar...He's still in the shitter up to his eyeballs... He just may also happened to be mentally disturbed too..... With the kinds of pressures these fools are bringing on themselves, I really wouldn't be too surprised... And that last is not actually intended as snark...JD

Congress isn't "taking August off." Congress folks are going back to their districts, where they will meet with the constituents who don't really have the ability to run off to Washington to lobby on their own behalf. I was so pissed at Jack Cafferty the other day for continuing the "taking a month off" meme that I nearly threw something at the t.v. Yes, congress really does have to go home from time to time to meet constituents, raise money from their districts for re-election, all kinds of stuff. I'm a university professor. I get roughly four months of vacation a month. Nobody's doing a poll discussing what degenerates university profs are.

Ahem...four months of vacation a year, not a month.

"A few straps short of a waterboard". Instant classic.

Thanks for the clarification, Steve - I was just about to look into becoming a professor!

I just don't know what to say about this guy. I can't be too obvious or subtle, after all, we have Lord Levy.

High Law Lords indeed.
