Do you think they want to "rock the party" too?

Right on. Some of the smartest people have played the densest characters.
Check out this hilarious video illustrating what a massive hypocrite Hillary Clinton is.
It shows her repeatedly being duplicitous and flip-flopping, and pretty much just shows her true colors.

Glad to see "Taxi..." won best doc. Maybe now Discovery Channel will reverse its decision not to show it.
The Oscar for Best Documentary was "Taxi To The Dark Side" and the entire world now knows what shame George Bush has rendered to his country. Millions of people saw the Oscars tonight and amy vestige of respect the United States once had is shattered. Perhaps permanently.
I've been reading the comments from the Democratic supporters that are wailing about Nader throwing the election towards the Republicans.
Blame Nader if Democrats lose the election when the actions of the Republicans have basically handed the election to the Democrats on a silver platter.
If Democrats can't capitalize on that - If they end up blaming Nader - Please, dismantle the Democratic Party because it will have proven itself to be a horseshit party.
I can't believe that the Democrats would blame Nader for anything. If Democrats find Nader to be the extinguishing foil to the Democratic Party, then the party is nothing more than a sluggish, impotent party that can be defined as nothing else than the Republican-lite Party.
If Democrats can't define themselves and draw the line in the sand to illustrate to show the American people how different they are from the corrupt Republican party leaving voters twisting at the booths not knowing who to vote for - then you have two possible explanations:
1. The Democratic Party is defunct and can no longer adequately represent the working class and the majority of Americans that are opposed to Republican policies (proven in numberous polls)
2. Democrats can't really draw a line in the sand because in reality, they don't differ from the Republicans by much.
Make you pick.

whatever happened to those nukes bush was

country for destination covert?
Over the years, Hillary has drifted from left to left-center to center and to center-right.
In the last few years she has become a Bush enabler:
1. She approved the Kyle/Lieberman amendment against Iran.
2. She did not bother to vote against amnesty to the telecommunications companies who are wiretapping Americans illegally.
I wouldn't be surprised if, sometime down the road, she pulled a Lieberman and decided to run as an independent, an independent with Neo-Con values.
That song really kicked some ass.
beck had the nerve to state that the mccain affair was brought by NYT to take the light off of Sen. Clinton's losing streak.
Can you believe it?
Ralph Nader needs a new hobby. I voted for him in 2000 in Maryland because i knew it would not make a bit of difference. Maryland always goes Democratic.
But if i was living in Maryland now i would not vote for him.
In any case i doubt he will get more than 1% of the vote and he may not get even that.
Beck would say anything to get attention, unless it were true.

Mostly I'm just happy that they're not Obama or Clinton related (at least not that I've ever seen).
So far the Swift Boating hasn't really started. The only 527 that I've seen launching attack ads is that ALP group hitting Obama in Texas and Ohio. Can you believe it?
Here's a brilliant read for you that will blow your mind as to just how unstable a President John McCain would make.
The Mushrooming Clouds That Hang Over McCain
By ALEXANDER COCKBURN
Until last week John McCain's political handlers had been complacently sketching out their basic strategy: to portray Obama as a mere novice in statecraft, devoid of those powers of mature wisdom and sober judgment with which the seasoned McCain is so richly endowed.
The problem here for McCain is that he's a dunderhead in statecraft, devoid of self control, capricious in moral standards and an imbecile in his lack of political judgment. Across the past four days these deficits have all come home to roost. Often, the deadliest wounds a scandal can inflict are on the second, third and fourth days, as the follow-up stories disclose " troubling new disclosures", "apparent contradictions" and the like. True to this pattern, each successive day since the New York Times finally disgorged at least partially -- its story last Wednesday, has brought fresh disasters, particularly as the Washington Post and Newsweek play catch-up. As it progresses, the Iseman affair scandal discloses him as an idiot (the view of his horrified staff in 1999 as McCain, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee paltered with the attractive 32-year old communications lobbyist), a liar (in his denials he met with Lowell "Bud" Paxson, the media operator for whom Iseman was working) and a hypocrite (in thundering against lobbyists and their employers, while traveling in their private planes, taking their money and doing them favors).
The better people get to know McCain, the less they care for him. READ ON:
http://www.counterpunch.com/
Excerpt from above piece:
In 1999, when McCain was battling George Bush for the nomination the Arizona Republic, one of the most conservative dailies in the country, editorialized about "less flattering" aspects of the senator's character "worthy of voter attention and consideration....Many Arizonans active in policymaking have been the victim of McCain's volcanic temper...McCain often insults people and flies off the handle." There is reason, the editorial concluded bleakly, "to seriously question whether McCain has the temperament, and the political approach and skills, we want in the next president of the United States."
Though the same paper has offered demure support for McCain this tine around, Democratic campaign commercials in the fall will surely be citing the paper's 1999 verdict, along with the considered judgment a few weeks ago of Thad Cochran, the Republican senator from Mississippi and a man who's known McCain for thirty years, that "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. "
There was a famous fight in Arizona that went on for years about Mount Graham, on which the federal government wanted to put a telescope. Indians said it was sacred. Greens said its slopes sheltered the endangered Mount Graham red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus grahamensis). In 1992, a couple of well-respected physicians, Robin Silver and Bob Witzeman, went to meet McCain at his office in Phoenix to discuss Mt. Graham. At the time of McCain's 1999 run the doctors told CounterPunch co-editor Jeffrey St Clair that at the mention of the words Mount Graham McCain erupted into a violent fit. ""He jumped up and down, screaming obscenities at us for at least 10 minutes.", Silver said. "He shook his fists as if he was going to slug us. It was as violent as almost any domestic abuse altercation."
Witzeman told Jeffrey that he left the meeting stunned: "I'm a lifelong environmentalist, but what really scares me about McCain is not his environmental policies, which are horrid, but his violent, irrational temper. I think McCain is so unbalanced that if Vladimir Putin told him something he didn't like he'd lose it, start beating his chest about having his finger on the nuclear trigger. Who knows where it would stop. To my mind, McCain's the most likely senator to start a nuclear war."

About the Siegelman section of 60 Minutes tonight --
Interestingly enough, sections of Northern Alabama were unable to receive the broadcast when it initially aired yesterday. WHNT-TV, the station which underwent the blackout during this airing of 60 Minutes, is owned by Robert Bass' Oak Hill Capital company. Bass' brother Edward was a classmate of Bush II.
Gee, doesn't this look conspiratorial?
Sorry...no daily today:
James Fallows on Ralph Nader: "That he stayed in the race in 2000 was tragedy. (See: Invasion of Iraq, 2003, and subsequent occupation.) That he came back in 2004 was unfortunate; his entry in 2008 is farce. Farce because it suggests detachment from political reality (the differences between the Republican and Democratic nominees are so faint that we can say, What the hell!) and, worse, narcissism. The fact that it won't make any difference in the outcome actually is sad." - http://jamesfallows.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/02/ralph_nader_tragedy...
Anyone planning on voting for him this time...might as well not even bother showing up in November, and the McCain-Lieberman ticket salutes you (thanks for giving the GOP the '100 years' they so desperately want in Iraq)...
