The Worst President Ever
By John Amato Monday Apr 21, 2008 6:40pmPower Line will be sooo devastated...
President Bush has set a record he'd presumably prefer to avoid: the highest disapproval rating of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup Poll.
In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday, 28% of Americans approve of the job Bush is doing; 69% disapprove...read on
tbogg has the quote posted of Power Line's BushLove:
It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can't get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile.

Clearly 28% of the country hates America.
We know.
Make that worst President, yet. The worst is yet to come, my friends
He's a gross and grotesque aberration in our national history. There will be no Nixonian rehabilitation. No comeback. No gradual lessening of disdain and disapproval. No legacy other than a rotten, wretched one. His name mud now and forevermore.
Hey, George: A big middle finger atcha, pal!
you know these criminals are going to go out with a bang,
just like how they arrived. or worse.
The worst thing is, I have to wait 12 hours to buy those 2 for $2 egg McMuffin
we hate congress but we keep electing them
we hate cable but we keep watching it
we hate death and destruction but we keep going to war
we hate walmart but we keep shopping there
we love making the same mistakes over and over and expecting a different result

Therefore Americans are nuts.
Gallows in the rose garden-not too late.
Bush has finally replaced Harry S. Truman as most disliked President in American History.
I just wonder why Hilllary keeps comparing herself to Harry S. Truman. You would think one of her supporters would point this out to her. I just about fall over laughing everytime I hear her quote Truman.
Good but polls are not a reliable indicator. Poll based politics is whats screwed this country up.
According to that poll 91% of Democrats disapproved. Can anybody please explain the remaining 9%?
fiver @ 12:
lieberman
feinstein
miller
pelosi....
we are mired in an illegal and immoral war
the economy is at the brink of a global depression
and yet, there are 28 percent that still like this guy?
i think they are all the audience of deal or no deal
272 = Number of days left of this criminal administration
fiver @ 12:
They aren't really Democrats--they are in the CT For Lieberman Party
Reminds me of limits in calculus.
That 28% is the same ones who would drink the kool-aide if the prez ordered it drunk.
His approval rating can't go lower than that the same way we can't go the speed of light.
It is impossible to enlighten 28% of the US population. However they can all get work at News Corp.
fiver @ 12:
People who think they are "liberal" because of what they CONSUME, and don't begin to understand how elitist and offensive they really are.
"Bush also holds the record for the other extreme: the highest approval rating of any president in Gallup's history."
hhmmm...
fiver @ 12:
They are the pro-segregation southern democrats from the 1950s and 1960s. No worry, they will all die of old age soon.
uncle joe hussein mccarthy @ 14:
The same people watch Rock Of Love and Flavor Of Love for dating tips.
I live in Palm Beach County, and my lose friend from Minnesota is a huge Bush supporter; he even believes in him still! He voted for him twice, etc, etc....He went to the Inaguaration in 2000 and sent me a T-Shrit that said, "My friend went to the Inauguration, and all I got was this stupid President."
Sadly prophetic...
I've gotten a lot of mileage out of that thing (unfortunately).
Counting the days, minutes, seconds until I can retire that thing...
The 'Decider' will continue to break new records of disapproval and unpopularity.
His house of cards is collapsing along with the economy and everything else.
The worst president ever... somehow those words aren't adequate to describe the disaster that this president is to America and the world.
God help us.
To paraphrase Bill Maher: Redneck shit kickers voted twice for a moron they wanted to have a beer with, and we all get to live with the results.
An absolute disaster.
Too bad he's not taking the enabling MSM with him.
WOW, HIS RATING NOW MATCHES HIS IQ !
30% of Americans probably have no idea who is currently President.
jdw @ 21:
So Chimpy scores the lowest approval ratings in history. So what??? He's so ignorant and isolated, I'm sure he doesn't even know...or care.
In a few months, he gets to pack up and move to Dallas...without a concern or care in the world.
GeneralInsurance @ 18:
It still boggles the mind. From 90% approval to 69% disapproval. It seems that 59% of this country are admitted idiots.
So how's Hillary doing in PA? I hear she could take near 60%.
From Google:
Results 1 - 10 of about 86,700 for "The Worst President Ever". (0.26 seconds)
See? There are 86,699 more worst presidents!
George Bush....the most powerful president in history (thanks to the useless corporate suck up congress and the brain dead American populace) is also the greatest pile of human excrement to be in that particular office.
BUCKFUSH @ 26:
In a generous mood, are you?
:)
Awesome. I remember feeling in the minority of this country when I opposed President Bush. Looks like I'm in the Majority now. Feels much better.
I'm willing to bet he can go even lower if he just keeps being himself.
The state of our economy seems to reflect the awakening of the American public
to the fact that Gilligan has been the skipper these past eight years.
And we've got six more months of him at the helm.
Wanton Boy will be moving to Dallas -- and then Paraguay, where many good Nazis and fascists have decamped over the years.
(Please excuse the missing "is" in my last post.)
I want to meet these 28 percent-ers. Scratch that, I don't want my IQ lowered.
Can't believe these figures! There are actually still people who APPROVE George W Bush as President????
I guess the random sample polled had to include a few morons in it.
This man and his mob should really be rotting in jail right now. Not just for the Iraq war - but for the constant breaches of the US Constitution!
Bill Clinton was impeached for having a blowjob in the oval office, so I guess Barrack Obama will be too - for not wearing a fag pin, or Hillary for supporting an adulterer????
Oh well - at least the USA can brag that their leader is better than the ones in China, Burma, Zimbabwe, Sudan...
Bush has finally replaced Harry S. Truman as most disliked President in American History.
I just wonder why Hilllary keeps comparing herself to Harry S. Truman. You would think one of her supporters would point this out to her. I just about fall over laughing everytime I hear her quote Truman.
Harry unlike the shrub spent time in the trenches of WWI. Was born poor, worked for a living, blunt spoken and was unfailingly honest. All traits that dubyah missed. Yeah Harry pissed some people off but it turns out he was "right". Read a little history folks and you will truly find out why presidential candidates try to compare themselves to Harry. Given everyone since he served, I'd take him over all of them.
FBush @ 35:
I've been totally beaten down. I can't listen to his redneck drawl as he mangles the english language. I can't look at that goofy Alfred E. Neuman chimpanzee face as he makes some cocky smirk. Nor can I hide my shame as he embarasses himself...and the US...with some inappropriate action in front of the cameras.
These past eight years have been pure hell.
FBush @ 35:
Anyone who thinks a Dem President is going to step in and wave a magic wand and we can all return to the "I want it all and I want it all now" mentality is going to be in for a rude awakening.
Yeah, a great artist like Thomas Kinkade or a great musician like Yanni.
I love that Power Line quote...
"Brilliance approaching to genius"....ow, owie, ouch - I can't stop laughing. My ribs are killin', KILLIN' me. HEHEHEH.
Oh, powerline, how EVER do you type while you're simultaneously jerking W off?
Do you want to know why we on the left think you're a bunch of douchebags? It's your job to make Bush smell good.
bush craps in his pants and he is too stubborn to change them.
This is Bush's 28%. Unbelievable.
There could be some dubious, but interesting competition within this administration. Consider the candidates:
Bush.......................Worst President Ever
Bush Administration...Worst Administration Ever
Rice........................Worst SOS Ever
Rumsfeld.................Worst SOD Ever
Cheney....................Worst VP Ever
Gonzales..................Worst AG Ever
Armitage..................Worst Deputy SOS Ever
Rove........................Biggest Piece of Shit in Government Ever
I could begin listing the heads of virtually every government agency, who would certainly qualify, but I do not want to get cramps in my fingers. So, who is 'king of the hill'?
Travler @ 39:
Right on. Truman will, as time passes and history of his tenure is analyzed, be given
(and justifiably receive) a much better and deserved "rating". Kind of remind me of
that 28 percent who still(UNBELIEVABLLY) support bush....they are uninformed and
uneducated morons and like lemmings, will follow that asshole over the cliff....Not unlike
many who have absolutely no knowledge of Truman's policy and good deed he accomplished while he was in office. Read some history and become educated.
The Truth Hurts @ 40:
I felt that way back in 2000 so you can only imagine how painful the past 8 years have been.
Worst Bush moment?? The win in 2004 when that arrogant cocksucker came on and declared he had "political capital" and
he intended to spend it.
The moment when Bush Derangement Syndrome took seed.
Of course, he blew his wad on the Katrina disaster. What a goddam charade he has been. Its a miracle this country
survived his presidency.

God, the list goes on and on and on. If I don't stop, I won't get any sleep tonight.
MacDaKnife @ 47:
Don't you mean 'lord of the abyss'?
I know that 28% of the population are not CEOs, so most of them must be my redneck neighbors. From personal experience, I know there is nothing you can do to change their view. They vote against their own interests and don't even get it.
Education is the key to everything. It's way under-discussed right now with all the other problems. No Child Left Behind is one of the least discussed lowlights of the Bush administration (known amongst teachers as No Child Moves Forward). Keep them dumb - keep them republican. If education ever becomes a priority the republican party will be history.
Bonkers Hussein @ 32:
your both foolish
he's not stupid...he's a typical american...undereducated, over medicated, egotistical, selfish, shallow...but not stupid
AND
he is doing a great job....
for 1% of the population...which got him and kept him elected
Damn forgot
Jackson..........Worst SOHUD Ever
Please please tell me you made up what Power Line said about Bush. That has to be ironic or sarcastic or a line in some snarky interview.
Ruthless People @ 1:
No, they just love being willingly ignorant more.
Exactly Trii. THIS cannot be an actual observation by those dipsh*ts.
Approaching genius!?! I am A fucking genius - Bush IS NOT anywhere near that intellectual threshold.
And - of course no one notices because if that quote is an actual quote, they are talking about some OTHER man, AND they have no idea what real genuis entails.
Ok, that's it. Powerline HAS to be a satire site.
GENIUS? Give me a break-please!!!!! Any person with half the sense of a pea-brain would have sat down and figure out the pros and cons of going into war with a 2 countries at the same time. Or, how about the gas situation. He lived thru the last time gas prices rose dramatically and the devastation to the economy it took--so what does he do? Start a war in an oil country, verbal abuse with a South American country with oil, not protect the gulf coast that contains the refineries, etc. I mean the prez is an idiot. He set out to bankrupt the nation so all we could pay for is military spending--screw social security, medicare, infrastructure, and the citizens. And people voted for him twice. TWICE!!!!!!!
Even though 28% are still completely blind to reality, why should BushCo care? The Vice-Dictator has accomplished his goals for the most part; and the foundation has been well laid for the rest after 2009. The corporate fascists have the US by the you-know-what....so why on earth would Bush or any of them care what anyone thinks? His approval rating can go to 0% and he wouldn't flinch. He'll just keep smilin', cause he fooled the majority(who wanted to be fooled to begin with) long enough.
Van Gogh sold only one painting, to his brother, during his lifetime.*
The Idiot's Bastards Son is no Van Gogh.
*Although he had patron commissions and traded works for art supplies to dealers who sold pieces during Van Gogh's life.
Ah yes, his popularity matches his I.Q. So say you-all. In spite of all his shortcomings he beat the crap out of Gore and Kerry (the two intellectual giants). He's president and they aren't. Hmmm?
My dog has a higher approval rating from my neighbors, and he craps on their lawns.
Halatbis @ 63:
Did we mention that he's also a thief? A lazy one at that.
chuck @ 10:
Possibly she quotes Truman because he actually was a very good president.
Halatbis @ 63:
Like every other country in the world half the American population is below average in intelligence. Sometimes they win.
I wonder... suppose by some fate or chance, you actually met mr. bush (in his official capacity as president)...what would you say to him?
Remembering that protocol demands at least some respect for the office... I'd think I'd probably say...
"Mr. President."
then think to myself...
You suck.
It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can’t get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile.
It must be strange to be PowerLine...
Are they the kings of snark?
Halatbis @ 63:
50/50 is beating the crap out of someone? WOW
"He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time..."
Yeah.
Bush = Coltrane
Halatbis @ 63:
The great ole argument. He beat the smarter guys so he must be smart. Bush is dumber than a fence post & the american people voted him in twice so that's not saying much. You think intelligence has nothing to do with the predicament he's in now? I believe in I.Q. rating of all presidents since they could rate them he's either the dumbest or damn near it.
He's an inadequate, stupid, moronic, monkeylike, idiotic, war mongering, criminal, awol, embarrasment to the world, pro corporate, anti environment, anti global warming, anti anything good for average joe, oh my god he's killed us all kind of president. Gee, I can vote for someone like that.
The man will go down in history (what little is left) as the man that killed the world.
moniker @ 64:
Best humorous post for a long time, and there have been some good ones.
Halatbis @ 63:
He beat the crap out of them? That is certainly news to me. He won two rigged elections. Is that what you mean?
uncle joe hussein mccarthy @ 14:
Many of that 28% (I'm not sure if there is a poll--it'd be interesting) support Bush because of his support for Israel.
Serious question and mental challenge: can anyone come up with one Bush "positive" that has benefitted everyone?
Bush has been much lower, around 19 percent, for some time now.
19 Percent Approve of Bush
by David Swanson
February 20, 2008 at 13:56:54
George W. Bush has set a record for unpopularity that may stand for all time: He now has a 19 percent approval rating. And, remember that Cheney has always polled LOWER than Bush. Imagine if the Democrats were to do something we care about (preserving the Constitution) by doing something they care about (winning elections) by forcing John McCain to choose between supporting impeachment and supporting these characters who may soon be less popular than the flu. Remember, Congress moved to impeach Nixon and STILL nobody liked him, but he was more popular than Bush or Cheney: He stayed at around 25 percent through the process. Clinton climbed from about 60 to 65 percent as a reaction to Congress prying into his personal life and attacking him for a non-impeachable offense. Which scenario do YOU think is more like the current one, Clinton's impeachment or Nixon's? Truman's popularity sank as Congress moved to impeach him too, but it never sank as low as Bush's and Cheney's.

I agree. When all is said and done he has had extraordinary success in his agenda, albeit what we don't want.Success in appointing judges, in controlling a decimated country with lots of oil. He set out to control all three branches of government and has succeeded beyond anything anyone could possibly have imagined. And he's not finished yet.
He'll yet have the last laugh.

Bush Presidency Judged Unsuccessful
Poll: More Americans Say Bush's Presidency Will Be Judged as Unsuccessful in Long Run
By WILL LESTER Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON Oct 14, 2005 — For the first time, more people say George W. Bush's presidency will be judged as unsuccessful than say it will be seen as a success, a poll finds.
Forty-one percent of respondents said Bush's presidency will be seen as unsuccessful in the long run, while 26 percent said the opposite. Thirty-five percent said it was too early to tell, according to the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

History lesson: GOP must stop Bush
05-24-2004
Thirty years ago, a Republican president, facing impeachment by the House of Representatives and conviction by the Senate, was forced to resign because of unprecedented crimes he and his aides committed against the Constitution and people of the United States. Ultimately, Richard Nixon left office voluntarily because courageous leaders of the Republican Party put principle above party and acted with heroism in defense of the Constitution and rule of law.

Disdain for Bush Simmers
What is it about Bush that so polarizes this country? Not since the American Civil War (which the South LOST, so get over it) has the country been so divided. Didn't Bush say he was a uniter, not a divider? Well, he has yet to prove it, everything he does is devisive.
Other GOPer's who stepped down included Secretary of State and Deputy Attorney General, no matter what happens to bush jr. Maybe they have advanced knowledge that impeachment is not that far off for the boy Chimp, Dick "the VP wonder" Cheney, and Karl "da brain" Rove. Repubs did it once to their glorious leader (Nixon) when the daily scrutiny and unanswered questions mounted into a crescendo that could not be denied. Mark my words, it WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!
2006 and 2008 will be a repeat of the 1990-1992 elections, with Democrats thoroughly defeating the GOP incumbents in both houses of congress and then in the white house, all because of a repeat of the deceptive corrupt governing and economic and employment upheavals.
I want to personally thank the GOP for giving us in the U.S. a brief and very ugly history lesson these past seven years (with revisits to suppression of voters rights, civil rights, abortion rights, free speech and protesting, segregation, racial and social descrimination, trickle down economics, blackouts, recession/depression, skyrocketing unemployment, high oil prices/gas shortages, big business controlling big government, Christian religious fervor (crusades against gays and sexual conduct a.k.a. Clinton), political and corporate corruption (ala mafia/oil barons), violation of separation of church and state, impeachment, McCarthyism and blacklisting Americans, iraqgate, cold war (this time with N. Korea), multiple and global wars based on fictional intelligence (No WMD) and lying politicians as well as religious fanaticism (by both Christian and Islamic communities), blatant and total disregard for the UN and it's beliefs, trashing environmental issues and drilling for oil (love canal anyone?), failure to stop Al-Quaeda or capture OSAMA BIN LADEN and now America is both hated by ally and enemy alike.)
Wonder who will be the next Republican candidate for Prez of these United States? Newt Gingrich?
Nothing like a trip down memory lane. Thanks W and Dick. Now get the h@ll outta here and when we kick your sorry arses out of the white house, take your confederate flags with you, as you lost that war too!

Well, it's really not Bush's fault. He thinks he is doing GREAT ! ! ! ! but, he has major mental illness going on. . . . It's the people who let him get away with it who are at fault. . .
God Almighty, have you listened to him stuttering and slurring lately ? ? ?
Bush is beyond any doubt the very worst President in our history. From his total dereliction of duty in protecting us from attach on 9/11 to his invasion of Iraq and forgetting about Osama Bin Laden to his total failure as an economic leader we and the whole world have suffered under the leadership of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice. We will not take 4 more years of the same from McCain. The GOPers are all going to be send packing after this next election.
President Bush has set a record he’d presumably prefer to avoid: the highest disapproval rating of any president. With that statement you would think that he cares, well, do you need 8 more years to know that he doesn't give a damn.
ralph @ 85:
Bush is the classic "Dry Drunk" All those years of being drunk or high have left Bush with an extremely reduced capacity to think and speak.

If you're a democrat (Hell, if you're anyway with a brain cell) you should be voting disapproval.
Oh, yeah, Junior is a genius alright... he's the Michaelangelo of misrule. The Coletrane of calamity.
The Fyodor Dostoevsky of fucking disasters.
Nice attempt at a piece of shit GOP site like PowerLame trying to equate a retarded moronic douchebag with the likes of Da Vinci and Mozart ; you could wait for several hundred millenia and not see or hear a more ridiculous and inapplicable comparison........
What I love about Powerline is how goddamn, knuckle-dragging, head-crushingly stupid they are.
It proves to me that the most conservative people in this country are FUCKING MORONS. Conservatives who aren't are simply being misled by their impulses and can be coerced by logic or reality to come around, eventually. But the conservative 'base' consists of people who are, demonstrably, of below average intelligence. After all 50% of Americans are.
How's that for some motherfucking elitism?
I predict that Bush, like Truman, will, one day, be vindicated by history. Unfortunately for him, it'll be the day that O.J. finds the real killers. Some guys just can't catch a break.
That's strange.
I could have sworn that the observation "A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can’t get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile." was referring to Adolf Hitler, a man, who before he became Der Fuehrer, thought he was a great artist, though unappreciated, who then turned to other pursuits, like world domination and war against the rest of the civilized world, causing the deaths of countless millions of human beings. Hmmm, I believe that Hitler had an exceptionally low approval rating at the end, for some reason. Hmmmm.
This man is an idiot. what fool thinks he borders on genious?
Is anyone in America that stupid?
Well, Bush made it more than abundantly clear through his behavior over the past seven years that he wanted to create a historical legacy for himself...and after a fashion, he has succeeded. However, that plan -- like so many of his others -- has backfired in such spectacular fashion that President Bush will most likely go down in history as one of the most incompetent Presidents we've ever had. He's often said that he believes history will vindicate him -- but equally if not even more likely, it will eviscerate him.
It's all Bill Clinton's fault.
PS - USA Today notes, "Low approval ratings make it more difficult for presidents to maneuver, limiting their ability to get legislation passed or boost candidates in congressional elections."
Funny - We also often hear that when Congress is dominated by the opposing party, it limits a president's ability to pass legislation, too!
Yet the application of both factors at once today seems not to put a dent in Bush's steam! A fully loaded Democratic Congress is afraid to stand up to the least popular sitting President in history even when he's from another party.
Bizarre, isn't it?
Halatbis @ 63:
He won both elections because he and his criminal regime stole them.
As for comparing himself to Truman, remember Truman was responsible for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Bush is going to use "nukular" weapons at least once before he leaves office.
lj @ 76:
Actually, I remember that he *did* do one thing which I respected -- in fact, it seemed so out of character for him that I found it a bit hard to believe at the time that the story was true. In 2006, Bush signed an order turning over one hundred thousand miles of Pacific coral reef near the Hawaiian Islands into a national monument. Previous presidents including Clinton had apparently taken steps to protect this area, but making it into a national monument means that it is entitled to permanent funding and would make it difficult for future presidents to revoke this protection. Supposedly, this order requires all commercial fishing in the area to be phased out by 2011 and prohibits any drilling for oil or other chemical resources in the area. I doubt that petroleum engineers were very happy about this -- but considering just how critical the oceans are to the survival of mankind (especially since it is estimated that phytoplankton not only serve as the foundation for the oceanic food chain but also supply the planet with quite a bit of its oxygen), I'd say that this was at least something which could be said to benefit nearly everyone even if only to an infinitesimal degree. That being said, however, it's nowhere nearly enough to compensate for all of his colossal blunders.
Bluestocking @ 100:
He saw a documentary by the son Coustou on the atolls, then he signed that. But the reason probably was it was a really good drug night when he was watching it.
The George W Bush Presidential Liebrary will show the people how good he and his cohorts were. For the sake of sanity on the planet, he and his misadministration need to be tried for Crimes Against Humanity and just think of the joy and happiness that would be shown all around the planet if this were to happen! I, for one, would join the throngs dancing in the streets wishing that Bush ended up in jail, or worse. WATCH IT LIVE - ON ALJAZEERA.NET - Punishment carried out for Bush!
Never again will I under estimate the stupidity and ignorance of the American people . They may well come through for us again to the detriment of us all .
uncle joe hussein mccarthy @ 14:
The 28% number just boggles my mind. I'm beginning to think this asshole could execute their families gangland style before their very eyes, and they would still approve of him. WTF!! What will it take for these zombies to get-it?
'The Worst President Ever'.....
Also the name of a great song by a local Indie band in Los Angeles.
Head on over to http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendi... and check out 'Worst President Ever'.
They do an admirable job of comparing W to every President that preceded him.
finally @ 102:
The George W. Bush Presidential Liebrary shall be stocked entirely with pop-up books. Anything else would intimate the 28 percenters.
lewisnclark @ 90:
When it comes to fucking-up, this moron has no equals in the entire history of the U.S. To be this spectacularly inept, so completely corrupt, so retarded on nearly every concievable level, is a combination of imbecility we are likely never to see again. What a thoroughly useless, stupid, pathological POS!
Meant 'intimidate' @106. Sorry.
The Truth Hurts @ 28:
My thoughts exactly. Here was the agenda from day one:
- steal the election
- go to war with Iraq
- loot the treasury/surplus to further enrich the wealthiest few
- leave the country in the worst shape ever (financially, environmentally, structurally, morally, etc.) and not lose one night's sleep
Mission Accomplished on all counts.

For repeatedly invention of new and entirely unexpected ways to fuck up the country: the Edison of ineptitude.
LOL! Yeah, Bush unveils masterpieces the same way dogs leave works of art on my lawn.
With regard to the issue of Bush's genius, the metaphorical resonance of his artful truthiness visually and conceptually activates the puke reflex in most normal people. Only the dumbest of sheep still follow the sociopath decider. Perhaps he will lend them his ear.
World class liar, con man, and thief. America will never smell the same after 8 yrs. of exposure to the current pile of Republican garbage..
uncle joe hussein mccarthy @ 14:
I think they are the ones who watch Deal or No Deal and don't get it.
Listen, if you vote for Nader just because your candidate did not get the primary, don't cry about another 4 years of Bush's policy.
My dad is one of the 28%. He thinks we still should be in Vietnam. He is entirely incapable of admitting he has ever been wrong. I think he has a mental disorder.
Dgeorg77 @ 113:
True.
Is your name an homage to George Muresan? Just curious.
Old Billy Hussein @ 115:
Nope.
joeedugan @ 110:
Nice.
The Mozart of malfesance.
How bad was Buchannan if historians claim gives Bush a run for the money?
Yupps, Rolling Stone Mag declared it early 2006 and we all knew it years earlier. The prez always says "...posterity will judge me." That's a freakin' cop-out. He won't care, he will be dead, like the rest of us. He refuses to be responsible to us all right now, while we are still alive!
Guy did nothing to prevent the Civil War from happening. Not saying he could have prevented it, but he certainly made very little effort to prevent it. Similar to Bush, in that he left the next President a FUBAR situation. Claimed to be visionary leader while avoided tough decisions at all costs - again, like Bush.
and Reid and Pelosi still play safe to protect their chances of re-election. bullwhooie.

Well everyone should do a crash course in mandarin.
Bush is not only the worst president ever, he's one of the, if not THE, worst villains this nation has ever seen. He and his. He and his crew are the arch criminals of the 21st century, as it has thus far unfolded. I'm surprised that planet earth has tolerated him up to this point. The last time the world saw a criminal of his standing and power, the rest of the world united to rid itself of him. That process was called WWII.
I don't believe 28% is an accurate approval rate number!
I just can't believe that over a quarter of Americans are that obtuse or stupid!
"A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance..." Hello?
This extraordinary man warns us about Iran's nuclear weapons, yet he can't pronounce the word "nuclear." This brilliant man doesn't know the difference between "dissemble" and "disassemble." He once asked, "Is our children learning?"
Bush's problem is the opposite of what is being claimed here. People DO NOTICE. They noticed a bulge in his back during the debates with Kerry, an obvious electronic aid through which answers to questions were fed to him. Brilliant? I don't think so. He continued to read a children's story to kids for a full seven minutes after being notified of the 9/11 attacks. Extraordinary behavior? You bet...and it was noticed. Three days after Katrina devastated New Orleans, Bush was strumming a guitar in California and laughing his head off. Extraordinary? Yeah, really.
He's a doofus. That's what he is. Yale and Harvard can't be proud that he's a graduate.
If 28% of the people still approve of bush then they are as big of an asshole as he is!
Someone above says that there is not one country in the entire world which has benefitted from the Bush policies. I beg to differ:Israel, the troublemaking rubbishy little country, has always claimed it benefitted enormously. Netanyahu RECENTLY said 9/11 was good for Israel. Who has forgotten that the PNAC group which started all this were overwhelmingly Likudnik Zionists. And they haven't finished yet. They are pushing Iran and Bush is showing every intention of playing along. Bush wants to go out with a blaze of "triumph" and this is his opportunity. He wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of doing what he did, only to see it end in a fizzle. An Iranian confrontation, with some concocted reason just like the Iraqi WMD, would allow him to cancel the elections. All this ballyhoo about the elections is theatre, to delude the electorate they we are still a democracy.
L.A. Confidential @ 41:
Ha! I love this new talking point, seen it flung around all over the place.
If the next President can even get the brakes applied to this disastrous direction we're headed, that would be more than enough for me.
Daisy Zimmerly @ 111:
Poetic, if not sad...
Impeach cheney and bush @ 60:
I think that was the only victory we had in the last 8 years, not letting his SS program off the ground.
George Bush and his whole administration, or goon sqaud, should be tried for crimes against their own people.
Space_Poet @ 133:
He still has time. Only thing, he better get it done before the stock market crashes or all the "people in 'merica who own stock through their 401k won't want to invest their money there".
By the way, if anyone is actually making above 5% in their 401k for the last 8 years please let me know. My 401k, my retirement money, has lost money. The only gain I make is dumping even more money in to be lost.
Anyone finding this is the case?
I wouldn't say Bush is brilliant, but he is as smart as the lowest quartile of the human population in this country and certainly more intelligent than the average chimpanzee when he's not medicated.
Kx @ 8:
Wanna play "follow the leader"?
crazylikeafox @ 135:
Sounds like the good ole days when the retirement fund was hidden in the mattress - a cheap mattress. Didn't lose anything back then.
He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile.
Not according to Terry Ann; it's just us.
Bodie @ 71:
As in Roscoe P Coltrane. And guess who Boss Hogg is?
Aaurgh! I can't stand it! I feel an ad hominem attack coming on! No wonder the poor powerpundit is socially and intellectually fried - with a name like ButtSputnik!
Everybody will remember Dumbya of being the worst and unintelligent President ever.
TakeOurCountryBack @ 127:
I can. to quote maher, The shitkickers elected him twice and now we have to live with the results.
"It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can’t get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile." I almost fell off of my chair when I read that line. OMG!!! The writer of that line and the man he wrote it about must be long lost twins separated at birth. The deterioration of the Schrub has become clearer and clearer over the past 8 years. When is ran for Governor in Texas, he could speak and talk at the same time. He spoke in complete sentences with correct word usage. Now has has trouble walking and talking at the same time. His sentences tend to go nowhere and sometimes just end, as if he forgot what he was talking about.
Your numbers are wrong. According to the official Pennsylvania Dept of State Elections website <www.electionreturns.state.pa.us>, the official numbers are:
CLINTON 1,237,696 54.3%
OBAMA 1,043,174 45.7%
(99.4% of precincts reporting)
That's an 8.6% gap - 9% with rounding, not 10%. It is appalling that almost every media source (including progressive blogs) are mis-reporting the real, official results.
Can someone tell me the things this dufus will be remembered for positively in the next 50 years, or for all time. Being a librul, I just can't see it.
gemHusseinpei @ 146:
I think he seemed to care about the AIDS crisis in Africa and he was sympathetic to illegal immigrants. That's me being the most Christian I can be.
uncle joe hussein mccarthy @ 14:
I was thinking that 28 percent is more likely the posse Bu$h has in the various administrative roles in the government, lobbyist ranks, military, and mercenay ranks, and big oil and their subsidiaries... I can't imagine anyone who's not getting paid for their support actually supporting this loser.
I sent this e-mail to PowerLine:

Is John Hinderaker out of his mind?
I read his idolatrous quote about the worst president in American history and just about sprayed my morning java on my keyboard.
No, John, Commander Bunnypants isn't a genius or a visionary. He isn't some transcendent artist laboring in noble anonymity, waiting for the rest of society to notice his brilliance. He's nothing more than an overgrown frat boy with delusions of grandeur. He's incurious, arrogant and moronic. He loves torture and death. He isn't qualified to be dog catcher, let alone president of the U.S. He was installed by judicial fiat and governs at the pleasure and whim of the patently wicked Dick Cheney. His stock will not improve in the eyes of future historians; his approval ratings will not miraculously rise once he's fled to Paraguay; he will not experience any Nixonian rehabilitation.
His name and legacy are mud, and no amount of hopeful spin will alter that truism. He has been ruinous, and the only fair outcome to his disastrous reign will be a war crimes trial.
I'm sure you will understand all of this eventually.
Cheers,
The headline said worst President ever, but I didn't see anything on Jimmy Carter. Must've been a typo.
