Colbert Mocks McClellan and Malkin
By SilentPatriot Thursday May 29, 2008 5:15pm
In his "Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger" segment last night, Stephen Colbert ripped into Scott McClellan for releasing his book five years too late, and took Michelle Malkin to the woodshed for her latest jihad against Dunkin' Donuts.

On Scotty: "These are shocking revelations -- in that it is shocking that Scott McClellan thinks these are revelations."
On Malkin: "Well, Malkin has once again protected our nation from the enemy within...Rachel Ray."

Hmmm, and it can only be said in comedy ............ that is quite telling.
Please feel free delete this post as off-topic but since there never seems to be a place in this place to talk about Democratic crooks and liars, I'm forced to post this here. When can we have an honest discussion about the Democratic show-down?
And on topic...Colbert's 1
Wow first, booooooooooo ya :P
On a lighter note, I wonder what Malkin's ulterior motives are ? Seriously, Jihad at DD ? You kidding me ? I've seen taxi drivers who look more apt to start something islamo-fascist-y, but Rachel Ray ?
How much does Malkin make for her wackery ? I guess if you have no idea where Iraq is on a map of the world and you think dark-skinned people deserve your hatred, well, I have one thing to say to you... Va chier ma crisse de chienne. Desole, but I speak French and Le Monde had it right 5 years ago.
Am I being a little harsh ? I am not interested in divisions, we have enough problems to tackle - I was looking at my gas bill this past month, and thank goodness I traded in that F150 2 years ago, because I would be paying almost $10,000 in regular gas per year. God I love those little cars.
Anyone have the same impression as me on these complicated problems that are ill-served by the loud-mouthed idiots like Malkin, O'Reilly, Savage, Hannity, Rush, etc ? You are doing us all a disservice in the long run, because we have to re-educate the people that are being indoctrinated by your filth daily. I used to listen to Rush just to get my blood pressure going, but no more. The government has proven agile at putting Brownies in office and letting them self-implode... HUD, GSA, Whistleblowers, FBI, NSA, CIA, etc.
Have a great weekend Malkin. I wonder what great detective work she will do next ?
Silentpatriot! Where art thou? You disappeared from Youtube and I've been trying to find you for the past 2 weeks now. Are you not able to post there anymore?
Some people... just diserve to be shot. Was that facist of me to say? I've never seen a more racist and xenophopic person on television, and she's not even fracken white. What a walking fracken joke
Heart-felt thank you to Malkin for protecting us from jihadi scarves. Good thing Dunkin Donuts pulled this tribute to terrorism off the airwaves too. Otherwise, many ignorant people might be unwittingly cajoled into wearing paisley. Al Qaeda is very insidious! [snark]
Who would've guessed that a Bushie mouthpiece would realize so many years later that he was a Bushie mouthpiece helping to push the propaganda. It's just shocking, shocking! What has become of Scottie?! To make matters worse, McClellan says that the corporate media were "deferential, complicit enablers" for the Bushie propaganda. But...do we really expect the corporate media to do investigative reporting? Do we really expect them to inform their audience that the Bushie the Pentagon-controlled experts they've repeatedly had on aren't "independent analysts" but hired Bushie shills? Do we really expect the corporate media to allow dissenting views to be aired on primetime national TV?
In other words, do we really expect the corporate media to question the most outrageous and obvious government propaganda and actually inform the public they work for???
White House Treatment of McClellan Reminiscent of Twilight Zone’s Famous ‘Eye of the Beholder’
It's called "over compensation".
So it is OK for Obama to continue to get away with a racist and sexist campaign?? The Wright Rage, The Hagee Hatred, These Bozos are only the tip of the iceberg...and we all know it. If Clinton is NOT the nominee I will be voting Republican for the first time in my life. And I suspect I am not alone. I am stunned by the black flight away from the Clintons and to Obama – people who have stood by their cause for many years – simply because of skin color. After all they have done to further the rights of African Americans – And this is the way they are repaid??? And then their supporters are called racist???
It makes me sick.
Well, I intend to show my disgust the best way I know how…WITH MY VOTE. And again, I suspect I am not alone…
In the words of the SNL weekend update desk…So you think you can win a general election with ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTERS? Really?
REALLY?
Well…
JUST WATCH
Sam @ 10:
More so than not, and it is your exact display of ignorance, myopic view and hate that is the reason your country is going down the pan quicker that shit off a shovel, Obama is the only realistic hope you have left at the moment.
To say you would vote for McCain out of hate for Obama says it all.
Sam, your tiny perception of the way things are.... isn't the way things are.
10 Sam--Why do you think their votes for Obama are b/c of skin color? Maybe they believe he's the best person for the job.
Jerry @ 11:
Well said, Jerry.
Sam sounds like a concern troll. A paid hit and run artist and is off-topic to boot. Quick tip for newbies like SAM... stick comments like these in an open thread, dude.
Don't you love how just about any thread is getting hijacked these days?
Now back to Colbert, one of my favorite topics.
You know I like this site, but honestly with all the bickering of left and right you forget to realize this country has real issues, and we all should be driving in our cars and be sitting in Washington until it changes.
Malkin deserved a greater skewering than that, Colbert didn't give her his best stuff.
Maybe he has more up his (I hope). I wonder what happened to her as a child to give her such a twisted mind.
Marcinema @ 18:
up his sleeve...
dizilbdog @ 17:
I've studied a lot of history and sociology and I've no idea what the way is out for america at the moment, or even if there is one, though blockading a whole city while you figure it out might not be a bad idea.
Sam @ 10:
Born in '90, huh?
Hi Jack - off you go now...haha
;-}
It is far too huge a step to assume Sam-I-am will get the thrashing he is receiving here...let me help you out Sam: You are STUPID, and we won't be able to fix that on today's show. Thanks for writing.
Malkin.......colter.....limpdong.....etc......yawn...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Yeah, aren't we so smart! We knew all along that stuff McClellan is saying really happened. We are laughing about it now, Colbert and his advertisers are fat and sassy, but hundreds of thousands of human beings are dead, and it is about to start again in Iran. This is America today. Shameless!!!!!!!!!
M-kay Sam@10;
If that's the game you want to play...Fine, free country so they claim dude... But don't come bitching on here this time next year if it's McCain jerking us all around from the oval office with his rah rahing another 10 or 100 years worth of bleeding money and lives into the desert sand... never mind his beautiful (not) mind on the economy, just because you and people like you took your marbles and went home in a huff to pout cause you didn't get your way on the nominee... Go ahead homes, pull that trigger, but take a good hard look in the mirror for someone to blame over it all.... Cause it will be you and the thousands like you....
The cold facts are if a dem, (Hillary or Obama), hell any dem doesn't get in this time, its game over, we're totally fucked seven ways from sunday... The fat lady can crank it up... And it's not that the dems are soooo much better, they have plenty of warts and we all know that... Thing is, it's more along the lines of the fact that repubs can, and will be, sooo much worse if we give them yet another chance to finish us all off, and McCain is promising that up front. This is piss or get off the pot time bro, so whatchagonna do??... Vote for more of this same sad shit we've been delt the last seven years??? Really? Just cause the white chic couldn't beat out the black dude in a faceoff???
Look guy, I wanted Kuch and/or Edwards, so I'm holding my nose too, but for gods sakes, I'm still smart enough to know, that either Hillary or Obama whatever their warts is a better deal at this point then voting McCain and doing it as some kind of lameass protest over the sour grapes of not seeing my favorite candidate in the drivers seat.. Ya really ought to reconsider your stance dude.... That's all I got to say to you and/or any like you..... It's piss or get off the pot... I really hope you think about what you are proposing to do with your vote cause its all kinds of bad...... JD
Rachel Ray could kick Michelle Malkin's ass, easy.

Assassin @ 27:
Whoa, I came after you?
Has anyone even seen that picture? A keffiyeh that scarf is not. OTOH, an old dishrag, is what it looks like.
Watching this shitstorm takes my already low faith in mankind another level lower.
....
Am I going to Hell for being surprised Malkin knows that Keffiyehs even exist?
I'm starting to think that we on the left should start making a much greater effort to thank and reward Scott McClellan for what he's done.
If we keep bashing him, what motivation do other whistle-blowers have in the future, when we'll need more evidence to prove what we already know about the Bush administration?
The Malkin angle is about the Presidential election.
She takes two things that are clearly American, Rachel Ray and Dunkin Donuts and makes them out to be "foreign" "hostile" "Middle Eastern" and vaguely associated with "terrorism."
Do the math.
Looks like Don Davis hit the trifecta with this one:

rougy @ 30:
What we need is a Nurenberg Tribunal. Let Scotty and the rest explain how they were only following orders.
k @ 4:
Malkin's ulterior motive is that she's winning the "Great Race Towards Irrelevancy". She's running a distant first - ahead of Coulter, Weiner, and that little pube over at "Little Green Balls". She's resorted to making embarassing youtube videos dressed up as a cheerleader, forced to pretend to be what she never could - popular and well liked. Instead of standing there on Fox News looking stupid and lost, she has resorted to jumping around on youtube, looking stupid and lost (and....saggy). Poor Michelle has entered her "dwindling" years: her career, intelligence, body. In a last grasp at relevance she is taking half assed shots at everyone she can, low-brow shots from a cheap hack to be sure.
I would love to see her go on the Colbert Report and reply - Stephen would turn her flat ass inside out and make her look even stupider than she did in her youtube videos.
Attila the Appeaser @ 33:
Try the Senators that voted for the war as well, and I'll fully agree. The Administration needed their support according to the War Powers Act and it was given.
Sam @ 10:
If you were so upset with Obama, and he does end up the nominee. As a real dem( I doubt you are) wouldn't your protest vote be best served by not voting at all?
No, you're no Dem, Sam. That much is obvious. Now why don't you just scoot along back to Red State. Your concern trolling is see thru.
Jabookindoggins @ 36:
Dear lord, thank you for calling out this troll. That post read like a silent-but-deadly fart. You gotta be kidding me. I suspect he is not alone either. Who the hell left the cage door open?
John McCain: Old man yells at cloud!
JudyLou @ 13:
Are you really that naïve?
We're fighting the scraves over here so we don't have to
fight them over there...or is it the other way around? lol
Malkin has managed to piss off Papa Bush. This whole flap will cost the Carlyle Group a few of those tax dollars they worked so hard to earn.
Liberty(appeaser)Lover @ 15:
Oh, I have suggestions as to where he can stick them.
SFnomad @ 38:
Obama is easily the most talented leader this nation's political system has produced in 50 years. No contest.
slippy hussein toad @ 42:
I suppose there are more naïve people around there then I thought. Since Obama hasn't been a leader yet, your pronouncements are quite premature.
Sam @ 10:
Sam you ignorant slut.
Who the hell is Michelle Malkin? I know Evgeny Malkin, but not this liitle Asian halfwit.
rougy @ 30:
Feeding us information that we knew eons ago is hardly what you'd call whistle-blowing. All the thugs and their thuggery in this administration is already known and to give any quarter whatsoever is to be foolish and duped once again.
They'll crack under any investigation. Their feet just haven't been put to the fire yet. You know as well as I do that these subhumans have no grit or backbone. Just bluster and bully tactics.
No quarter. No niceties. They must be humiliated and sorely punished for their acts against humanity and their fellow Americans.
If not, the reputation of America will no doubt suffer a fatal blow and that's already very very close and you know it wont be pretty but it will be quick.
SFnomad @ 43:
Bush is no leader, and he stole the election, twice and has the job, so I don't think having the title or not gives any credibility to being a leader or not; for Obama to achieve what he has so far, I'd call him one of the best leaders I've seen the US produce in a while.
Assassin @ 27:

i love me some stephen colbert!
it's so nice to be able to view these clips at C&L as i have no cable (and trying to watch them at comedy central's page is teh suckity-suck)
sf[deleted, abusive Site Monitor] nomad @43
Are you saying that Obama has not never been a leader at anything... or just not preznit yet?
Oh... I thought that was what you meant
I'm pretty sure that you would be able to recognize a leader; you, obviously being a follower and all...
Clue... for you; the leader is the person in front of you that you have had your little "brown nose" stuck up the ass of, I imagine (NOT), since you were hatched.
I'm simply disgusted with trolls these days.
Our Constitution hangs in the balance, and you and your pathetic kind can't get past your friggin' adolescent angst.
Sam@10... same for goes for you...
I can only hope that you are capable of personally fighting MCBushes 100 years of war...
put up or shut up, punk.
And if you want to call me out on Military Service, be my guest,,,chickenhawk
Back to the Ghost Dance
So, in defence of internment and in favour of racial profiling. Where did Malkin come from again I ask rhetorically.
As for Obama and black voters ... well the majority of them were voting for Clinton at the start of the primaries. Do you think it's possible that Obama earned their votes (and possibly Clinton repelled them as well) during the course of the campaign? After all, history has shown that no previous black Democratic candidate has earned anywhere near this much black support in a primary campaign?
I have nothing against Asians but this Filipino is a traitor to her own country. She should study the history of what the US did to the Philippines in their first wars for imperialism. All the criticism against her is truly justified, she is dumb as rocks. I hope she wakes up one day and joins the right side to understand the world, the Liberal side.
site monitor,
sorry about the expletives,
I'm claiming PTSD... yeah, I think I'm beginning to feel like what a battered wife must feel like.
It is critical that we (THE PEOPLE) reclaim the 4th Estate from the absolute influence of money, and blatant censorship and propaganda.
I repeat we must reclaim our "airwaves" as a common commodity that is OWNED by US.
When I hear that a great investigative journalist like Greg Palast has the oil execs in Houston on tape: saying that our proud fighting men and women of all branches of The Armed Forces were sent into a "drummed up", and Illegal War in Iraq to keep the oil IN THE GROUND, and there by manipulate the base price on a barrel of oil.,.. is it to much for me to ask that the next time you are in line for petro fuel (if you are not yet in a personal position to have switched to the new solar ca!)...
Just start thinking and day dreaming like I do...and there I am line at the gas station... behind 3 Carrier Groups, 18 Combat Brigades, and a gazillion jar heads and fly boys... no insult intended... squid here)
I'm last in line... behind a Volkswagen "Thing" driven by Jenna Bush , and she gets the last of it...
The horror, and insanity of this must be brought to the forefront in our society... NOW!

Oh, Really? You've seen taxi cab drivers who look more apt to start something ISLAMOFASCIST-Y? Way to stereotype. And while we're on the subject, what is Islamo-Fascism? And how does one start SOMETHING Islamo-fascist-y. You can be désolé all you want, but I think you're beaucoup injuste
rougy @ 31:
Beginning to feel about it this way too, rougy.
It's just so frustrating for some of us who originally warned against BushCo in 1999 (in usenet newsgroups) to watch events like this playing out at the speed of molasses.
Sometimes, it just feels good to throw a ripe old tomato at such a deserving head.

Michelle Malkin is my favorite anchor-baby-turned-immigrant-basher.
And she has no nose.
Here is an idea for a liberal comedy TV show :
A mock press conference :
Actress : Cute intellengent looking blonde female to play the role of current Whitehouse spokesperson.
Press corps : Various actors and actresses as news reporters/ question askers
Other Key actress : Old lady to play Helen Thomas’s part
__________
Plot :
The press corps drill the heck out of “Dana P” regarding Scott’s book.
One reporter after the other focus on the point Scott makes that :
1.) He lived in a bubble
2.) He had a “Bunker mentality”
3.) Was shielded from truth
4.) Was in the habit of spinning the truth, saying “Talking points”
5.) Felt a bit guilty
etc. etc. etc.
“Dana” keeps shooting down these accusations and keeps blaming Scott and accusing Scott of this and that.
Gradually…slowly, but surely “Dana” starts breaking down mentally on stage in front of the WH Press Corps . She falls to her knees crying as she admits that she has felf so guilty doing her job as the Official WH Liar.
………………………
A great actress could make this so funny ! and embarassing for the WH !
It ends with Dana Perino hugging Helen Thomas and apologizing to her ,saying,”Oh Helen, I’m so sorry ! I’ve been so mean to you ! Please forgive me !”
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I posted this message on another thread on C & L. Please excuse me for cross-posting (^_^)/ I don't know how to send my wonderful idea to a TV station...so somebody -please do so for me. Thank you.
Dear C &L :
I just emailed my comedy idea to Comedy Central ,The Daily Show. If they (or another TV show) use it - I hope you will post the video clip on C & L.
I'm talking about this idea :

Only because I had a 3-hour head start! Haw haw haw!
JP @ 53:
You know what would be quite justifiable? Someone should citizen arrest Malkin. No, really. Arrest her for "High crimes and treason" or some other terrorism based charge. Why? She threatened a republican owned business.
Petition to have her sent to Guantanamo. Why? Because she was recently in Iraq. She must have been there to deal with terrorists and/or terror based groups. Unless we have a 24 hour surveillance tape, or written documentation from a US soldier, we can't be sure she wasn't planning on giving terrorists aid and comfort.
How do I come to this conclusion? Simple. Transference. The loudest anti-gay Republican icons have started to be outed against their will. Bill O'Reilly's "civilized black people speech" was made prior to his YouTube meltdown. Malkin has this very loud, pressing need to scream TERRORIST where there is none. That's all the proof you need in Bushmerica.
Keep her interred for... the length of McCain's war. Why? Because we can. Oh, and she's not white. It'll be justified to the Rs.
OMG, I'm watching Rachael Ray on TV right now and she's wearing black! She must be a Viet Cong!!
sedum @ 47:
But the beauty of the whole thing is watching the right wing nut jobs lose their fucking minds. The ditto heads, the Hannity fans, all of the really stupid 23%'rs are now faced with facts. Fucking FACTS! Ouch! That's gotta hurt.
Wow...I'd heard that Clinton supporters hated Obama enough to vote Republican if he becomes the nominee but this is the first timeI've seen it in writing. To Sam and to any other Clinton supporter who shares feelings like Sam's, I would ask you to be very careful about what you believe. To wipe away Republican scandals, lies and criminally negligent behaviour in giving them your vote just because the Democratic primary has been heated and nasty, I think is an emotional decision that needs some time and distance. There are plenty of fingers to point with both Democratic candidates but the larger goal is to get rid of the neocon bull@#$^& and restore America. Please be careful.
Sam @ 10:
my last post I felt I had to write because of what I read in Sam's post but what I REALLY wanted to write was that I wonder what is really worse: The fact that Malkin even created this ridiculous complete non story or that anyone in the media, Colbert included, gives her traction with it by talking about it. There oughtta be an oversight committee that calls bullshit on things like this and fine personalities thousands (i.e. all far right wing talking heads) for making shit up.
