Go Home

In case you needed to know why America's image abroad is in the toilet, look no further than ridiculous quotes like this from our Disgrace-in-Chief.

Telegraph:

The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.

Whether you're a Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, is there any doubt left that this guy is an utter clown? I meant that rhetorically, of course.

Truth is, his base actually gets off on this stuff, and he knows it. If he took a piss on the E.U. flagpole on the way out, and a dump on the U.N. building plaza on the way home, he'd probably get a small bump in his ratings for it.

You left out one small detail: Conservatives think global warming is a myth, and that the more you pollute, the better the economy is doing. "Fella, the smell of pollution is the smell of money!"

Well, we know MSM won't show this. And we wonder why the world thinks we are morons? I truly believe Americans are totally stupid. We just don't seem to give a damn about anything but ourselves and American Idol.

Perhaps someone should explain this word to Bush. He has obviously never heard it before. It has four letters and one sylable so he might be able to grasp its meaning and remember it.

tact

–noun

1. a keen sense of what to say or do to avoid giving offense; skill in dealing with difficult or delicate situations.

2. a keen sense of what is appropriate, tasteful, or aesthetically pleasing; taste; discrimination.

During the Great Depression, one local politician promised people that "skies will become black once more", and won. The reason why is because industrial pollution was so bad that when factories operated, the skies would be black with smoke.

In the beginning of 2007, a poll was taken which said that 25% of Americans believed that Jesus would return within the next year. I'm thinking that 25% figure isn't a mere co-incidence with the Bush approval rating.

I suspect Bush was trying to make a joke.

To bad it wasn't funny.

Erroll's picture

This would seem, among other examples, to be a good reason for the Democrats and Congress to initiate Amendment XXIV of the U.S. Constitution which declares that the president is unable, through a mental or physical disability, to continue to fulfill his office. This, however, would be contingent upon the president or the vice-president notifying Congress that the president "is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" which is extremely unlikely to happen. Bush's erratic behavior would appear to be a strong enough reason to have Bush declared mentally incompetent. But given the Democrats' extreme reluctance to impeach this administration, despite abundant evidence to support this move, it appears, unfortunately, doubtful that the Democrats would pursue this avenue of removing Bush from office.

In the year 115, Bishop Montanus walked out expecting the immediate return of Jesus. He would have died had help not arrived.

In the 1880s, the Millerites expected an immediate Second Coming. Somehow they survived it not happening and are today's Seventh Day Adventists.

Your lad George suffers from the 'Caligula' effect, in which everything he ever says, does, or wants to do is ratified by a Congress too terrified to say no.
As such his actions get more and more bizarre because he has virtually unlimited power and absolutely no fear of using it. He does anything he likes, any time he likes and no-one ever even attempts to stop him [in any meaningful sense, anyway]

In a way Bush has done you a huge favour, in showing how utterly fucked your political system is. There is no balance of power, because the entire collective might of both houses is too weak to say 'no' to an utter moron. Tony Blair certainly didn't help much either.

Better luck next time, eh?

I don't know. I think an IQ of 91 is much higher than a moron. Just not high enough to justify him being in office.

Sorry for that, and my guess is that in the coming months, when he really, really doesn't care, he'll bless the world and history with many more "I was just kidding" moments.

This arrogant fuck did this on purpose. He has nothing but contempt for us,the Europeans,Asians,Africans, etc.,etc..He`s one of the most ignorant people on earth.

Didn't mean to be flip. Actually, I once read an article which proposed Western Europe, Canada and Mexico should be in on the election of American pols for reasons of economics and security. I usually catch hell anywhere that I bring it up. But it would add so many voters who weren't rapture-ready mouth breathers.

We don't share the same last name with this Secretary of State or another ancestor Henry Clay. We're related to George Washington through his wife, and half the Founding Fathers. We're decendents of the Plantagenets, a Scottish baron (our immediate line),French barons, and German counts. We have I think three ancestors buried in Westminster Abbey, one is one of the three archbishops who crowned King Charles I in Scotland ten years after his coronation by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The other one is a historian, and I think also his brother a mathemetician.

According to some popular geneology columns when the Stewarts took over Scotland, they made everyone use their tartan and coat of arms but our family, because they "respected us," whatever that means.

As for myself I will slip obscurely from history, except for horny Blondie joke on this site.

I did some looking around and found a lot of sites calling this an urban legend. That being said, it was hard to get an agreed-upon IQ score. Some sites said 91, some said 125. I'm not sure I trust either number. For those who are curious, a score of around 100 is considered average.

Click on the 'Telegraph' link above and read how the White House managed to insult Italian P.M. Berlusconi on Bush's last trip to Europe. They cut and pasted a description of him from the internet into the official White House press briefing papers - WITHOUT ACTUALLY READING IT! Berlusconi, a right wing scumbag who is probably Bush's strongest remaining ally in Europe, got described as something like, 'a very controversial leader in a country with a long history of controversial, corrupt politicians.' OUCH!! With friends like Dubya, who needs enemies?
Let's just hope these bozos can get out of office without burning down the White House, nuking Canada or selling Alaska back to the Russians.

The actual quote is: The White House apologized for what it called "sloppy work" and said an official had simply lifted the characterization from the internet without reading it. I couldn't believe it when I read it either. Where do they get these people? Do they have any education at all? It truly is embarrassing.

Al least he didn't try to give Angela Merkel another back-rub - now that was embarassing!!

...Bush was born with a silver foot in his mouth. He never had to work for anything everything was handed to him. An average student got into Yale AND graduated? Not unless you're son of George H W Bush! His private sector business deals he failed in. A one time Governor of Texas he only got because of name recognition as being a member of an established Texas political family (and because Rove smeared and Swiftboated Ann Richards) and even a presidential election was handed to him and he has still managed to f**k it all up, with his friends, family members and business associates having to bail him out in the private sector and the American taxpayer having to bail him out in the public sector.
