Chris Matthews Needs A Nap, Gets Snippy With Olbermann
Either the altitude or the hours are getting to MSNBC's Chris Matthews. Either way, Tweety needs a nap. Yesterday, in his intro to Steny Hoyer, Keith Olbermann made an off-handed reference to the hosts "yapping" as a way to apparently apologize to Hoyer for the delayed appearance, to which Matthews took offense.

Get the pine cone out of your ass, Matthews.
Frist? Everyone on MSNBC is getting snippy these days. Everyone except Keith. I guess that's why he's THEE guy on that network.
Too many protesters yelling behind poor Chris yesterday. Soon he will be drooling for no apparent reason as he usually does when he is cranky.
I didn't watch much of this coverage (Matthews makes me ill, and all the talk about HILLARY™ is nausating.)
However from what I did watch, it looked to me that Olbermann was growing tired of Matthews inane and stupid comments. Many times Matthews would throw out a "witticism" or one of his outlandish political summations and Olbermann would just stare back at him in disgust. My guess is that these two REALLY don't like each other.
Methinks Tweety needs to cut back on the firewater at high altitude, and maybe get a makeup person to comb his hair. My daughter thought Matthews was trying to steal his look from the Lord Mayor of London at the Olympic Closing Ceremonies!
Next week the hosts will not have time to snipe each other. GOP will be hacking wildly.
Will somebody please bitch-slap Tweety?
Thanks in advance.
Good for Chris.
Smack down KO.
I wonder if matthews realizes he looking like a snippy bitch when he pulls that shit?
What a loser. Draw your own conclusion, but me thinks chrissy doesn't like being trivialized. He usually does like to hear himself talk, but he doesn't like anyone to point that out.
What a piece of pure shit. Watch your back chris....your days may be numbered at MSNBC as well as the bow-tie-nurd and joe-the-neocon-shill.
Matthews is a dick. I hope MSNBC replaces him with an adult, like David Schuster.
Wow, that snippy shot seemed to come from out of nowhere. Get some rest, Matthews. The election campaign still has several more weeks to go.
I want to Thank who's ever in charge at MSNBC
Watching you report the Rights talking points is hard. You hardly get your stuff right. You are still better the Faux and CNN on progressive side.
But i must say
The on-air smackdowns between anchors are fun to watch.
who gives a fuck?
I don't think this is as much about Chris needing a nap as Chris getting tired of Olberman thinking he's Murrow and therefore above all the other folks he works with. See the story below "Olbermann on Scarborough’s BS: “Jesus, Joe. Why don’t you get a shovel?”' for another example of how much respect Olberman displays - while on the air, no less. Frankly, I think they're all jerks, but it's nice to see them letting some air out of Olberman's balloon.
miss_kitty @ 9:
David Shuster would be much more watchable than Cranky Chris.
Did Olbermann give him some noogies, or did the airline lose his bag of hair care products? Get a brush, kiddo.
Tweety seems to have trouble sharing the spotlight with anyone...
Just think if Chris actually had a real job ?
Manual labor...
And Bush tells him how American it is to work 2 or 3 jobs.
Then McCain tells him to skip a vacation or get a second job to make ends meet.
No napping on the job and we want you in the office to talk about your attitude, Chris.......................................................
I saw that and gasped. It was so out of nowhere. And Matthews came off as such a bitchy queen, (no disrespect to the really good bitchy queens out there).
Olbermann let it slide, but Matthews was an ass.
I wonder if Matthews was feeling defesive for his buddy Scarborough.
Anyone see Luke Russert this am? He mocked Scarborough for his Shuster scrape.
He's a pretty cool kid, very self-composed.
He doesn't sound tired, he sounds tipsy! Little irate little drunkard.
Um ... Keith said 'us going off at the mouth'
Tweety needs a very long vacation not just a nap.
For more on Joe Scarborough's early exit from politics where he used to play a republican congressman from Florida...
http://www.larryflynt.com/notebook.php?id=17
From Larry Flynt the same man who brought some sanity to the Clinton Impeachment Era by holding Bob Livingston to account.
Something must have led up to this. In this context, CM comes off looking like a whiny ass!
Olbermann's man-crush on Obama has become so overwhelming and embarrassing even a die-hard Clinton-hater like Matthews has had enough of it.
Public lovers' spats like these are always about something other than the real issue between them.
settle down ladies
moe@13
Oh pleeeeeeze!!!. Olbermann gave that wretching lump of oozing ego, Scarborough, every bit of respect he has earned. What a sac of festering pus that guy is. And he is sooooo in love with the sound of his own voice as he pontificates totally fictitious nonsense that he makes up on the spot.
You want to see the real Scarborough? Watch his exchange with Shuster and see what a totally self-aggrandizing asshat the man is. He can't converse with anyone, all he does is hold court and ramble with great seriousness.
And he lies like a rug. Shuster busted him for his hypocrisy and he looked like his head would explode.
Those poor bastards among "us" that think KO isn't a straight shooter need to put their heads in the sand. Maybe, just maybe they can cool off enough to realize that the real looser is Matthews who sometimes think he plays hardball.
Scarborough, Carlson, Buchanan, and now Matthews...
I've been wondering how much the "instant approval/disapproval" of a live crowd has been getting in their heads. I'm sure someone like Matthews, while sitting comfortably in his chair back at the MSNBC studios, thought for sure that he was "The Man" at the network. The Top Dog. But then, you put a crowd behind them all, and the majority of the raucous applause goes to comments made by Keith and Rachael, while there's apathy and sometimes downright disdain, (read: booing), directed toward the others I mentioned. I'm sure this isn't the type of reaction Chris ever expected and I really think this is getting into his head.
I appreciate his show, but I don't think there's any reason for Keith to be acting like a prick all of the time.
Wow, first Joe, now Tweety. Are these cases of too much caffeine or not enough?
Something tells me that Tweety must be getting a relatively cold shoulder from Dems behind the scenes at the convention for his anti-Hillary idiocy back in January -- and that's gotta be making him even more jealous of Keith having (quite some time back) taken from him the crown as MSNBC's marquee commentator.
-- Rob
moe @ 13:
Olbermann didn't mean for it to be said on air. His mike was supposed to be shut off while Scarborough was talking. The shovel comment was intended as an off mike aside to Matthews. But kudos to him when called on it ~ he stuck to his position and called out Scarborough.
They're all just jealous of Keith. It's like grade school
kids clamoring for the spot of teacher's pet or something.
And Matthews has always been a prick anyway.
Fuck corporate media. Its all a paid commercial for the corporate puppets. There is no democracy, not here.
The producers must also hate him, or they would have had his hair fixed. Call him "Prissy Chrissy".
Is there a clip on here? Theres a big blank part where the video usually is.. Or is this just on my end?
I watched the show and Keith wasn't insulting Chris at all. He was joking around. Of course that was nothing compared to the outrages behavior that Morning Joe did toward Shuster. I was surprised Joe just all over Shuster. Mika was so uncomfortable you could see it on her face. They went to break and when they got back Joe told Shuster is was sorry. I think they all need a nap. Some of them have colds and you see they are tired. But 2 happy people seemed to be Keith and Rachel Maddow. She really is good and brings alot of good commentary..
Scarborough deserved the shovel comment - they all sit there and let Tweety and Scarborough just say bullshit and nobody, until recently, ever busts them.
Scarborough was waxing at great length about numbers he was distorting. KO inadvertantly - but deservedly - busted him. And then Ol'angry Joe lost it and went off. Sam the next day with Shuster.
Tweety was talking out his ass about Hilary and the women who support her - at great length and with absolutely no basis in fact. The man talks like ducks shit, frequently and with little substance.
Keith made a comment that didn't even single Tweety out and Tweety went off, like the spoiled prima dona he is.
Can somebody repost the link to the clip in the comments for me?
Chris offers an unique perspective sometimes - like what might come from a BS session among friends - but he is starting to get in the way of the flow of the convention.
The clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1pLMSaPTi8
We savvy progressives need to troll our way on to MSNBC the way the PUMAs did. Two can play this game.
Tweety's life will be miserable, but he can ask MSNBC to fly his ass back to Washington.
getalife "whiners" @ 7:
What are talking about? KO was trying to figure out why Tweets was so offended. My impression was that KO was talking about the BOTH of them. Either way, hardly a smackdown; more like Tweets needed a break, which I don't hold against him. The change in altitude can be unexpectedly rough on people.
moe @ 13:
I think, sir, that you doth project too much.
What an old man grouch....reminds me of McCain.
Keep Olberman and Maddow.
Lose Matthews, Scarborough and Brokaw
ASAP!
HDon @ 31:
Amen, brother.
Ahh my utube isnt workin either. this sucks.
but anyways, thanks for reposting it for me, my friend
You still have to give Chris Matthews credit for letting Pat Buchanan in on the whole separation of church and state thing from Day 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5AQhPvSEO0
I still cant see the clip, but did notice how irritating it was how matthews kept bringing up the question of hillarys supporters over and over and over and over..
From body language the other night, Olbermann looked like he wanted to roll his eyes everytime he brought it up
getalife "whiners" @ 7:
what
I'm honestly confused as to how anyone could read that into what transpired. Keith Olbermann felt bad about making the guest wait and took partial blame even though, as the beginning of the clip indicates, it was Chris Matthews behaving like a petulant child because of how Olbermann worded something. He's always been terribly insecure. In any event, he was unprofessional yet again in his hypersensitive interrupting of Olbermann's greeting of the guest, and made everything awkward as a result (though the Congressman gets credit for at least trying to deflate the situation with a brief joke/pun).
Bedwetting Reslug, Matthews, is out of his mind jealous of Olbermann.
roooth @ 24:
+1
Not to mention that I am all for these talking heads actually saying what they mean once in a while, not what they are paid to lie about, and if that means KO letting an incredulous guffaw slip out in the face of the blustering crapola flying out of The Scar's mouth, I'm ok with the on-air gaff. At least this slip reflected what a lot of us out here were thinking.
all the MSM talking heads have made watching CSPAN so much more pleasant. I want to hear what the party's speakers have to say and take it in without the instant assessment, spin and scripted "deeper meaning" that comes from corporate media.
enough already with "how will the clinton's behave in their speeches", the republican echoe machine trying to inject thier warped perceptions into the dems week with the willing MSM playing right along and the ignoring of the issues as interviewers and pundants spew forth with drool about what any one person "needs to do" this week at the convention.
shut the F up and just report what happened, we can figure the rest of it out ourselves thank you very much.
Buchanan, Scarborough, Matthews don't like being called on their crap. Rachael gives Buch. some hell and he can't debate his ass out of handbag.
Joe S. wants agreement not discourse and Minka treats him like an eight year old. Man up boys this is our country we are talking about not your freaking egos.
jb @ 42:
Yes! But, Brokaw AND Brian Williams. Not only am I sick of their McCain man-crushes masquerading as objectivity, I am really fucking sick of the media creating stories that are marginal at best. Brokaw should know better. But then again, that previously stated boner he has for McCain won't let him see the inanity in his reporting.
Yes, why are all the old Reslugs and McBush, having baby temper tantrums??
I have always liked Keith. He is always impeccably dressed and neat. Which makes me wonder about Chris lately. His hair is ungroomed and I saw him on a panel this morning on C-Span in a sport shirt. Everyone else (four other men) had on ties and jackets, he had on a shirt(no jacket and no tie.) He looked out of place.
Im with you willie, I want to know whats going on. But the talking heads from all the major news channels just make it seem like they tell you how/what they want you to think of whats going on. I'll be watching here on out on c-span.
Looks like Tweety needs a shot. Bartender!
Hulk @ 8:
That would require introspection and evidence that will not - repeat not - be let in for consideration (too many filters).
Having said that about that, I liked it when Mathews was snippy with Pat Buchanan the other day when Buchanan tried to impose a Christianity test on the convention speakers - to paraphrase, "This is not the Christian Democrat convention."
I don't think Tweety likes to be outside for too long.
CNN, MSNBC and Fox are a joke.
Turn off the talking heads, think for yourself, watch C-Span.
Matthews is simply outclassed by Olbermann. Just listen to the words, phrases, metaphors he uses. They are childish, unprofessional, and just, well, dumb. Olbermann is twice the thinker Matthews is. Fuck you Tweety, and Brokaw, and Williams.
moe @ 13:
why dont you watch the scarborough followup that is up on youtube, where joe goes ballistic on schuster
the fact is, ko called out joe on his attempt to frame the news without dealing with reality
2 weeks ago, the obama campaign was not strutting around thinking that the election was all but won...that was bs that joe was shoveling
Tweety needs a nap ... he looked like he just rolled out of bed without getting enough sleep.
i agree with keith on this, i thought chris
would not stop yapping. he went on and on and on.
i shouted at the tv, STFU chris.
let someone else talk.
what a bag of wind.
Did anybody see this little gem..
" Republican National Committee Chairman Mike Duncan said the team of nearly two dozen staffers at the opposition headquarters will be "fact-checking" statements made by the Obama campaign and by speakers during the convention.
"Just consider this the Ministry of Truth," quipped Dick Wadhams, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party. "
http://www.politicswest.com/28818/republicans_set_war_room_near_downtown
Any of you ever read the book, 1984, by Orwell ????
Tweety just got back from vaction.
Maddow should of took his spot.
Tweety needs to pound the pavement and look for another job.
willie @ 50:
Thank you.
Really:
Tweety is one of the most irritating people I've ever beheld.
Bad voice, bad hair, bad laugh, bad everything ... including his "analysis" and "commentary."
Loves the sound of his own wide-mouthed braying.
What a putz.
moe @ 13:
yeah, you think tweety looked like an adult there? he looked to me like a petulant little child interrupting the proceedings to have his little fit, whereas olbermann's comment to scarborough was barely audible, even when listening for it specifically.
i am not a particular fan of olbermann's break-neck-speed speaking style but i ignore that because he provides actual information. chris matthews is simply an annoying hack who i wouldn't listen to unless paid wheelbarrows full of money. if olbermann is rude to tweety and his obnoxious cohorts, i say let's have more rudeness.
The sad thing is that each of these guys thinks he is in the running for Tim Russert's job.
And neither one is a serious journalist (oxymoron alert).
getalife "whiners" @ 59:
actually, i've been watching the convention at the countdown site -- it is completely free of "anchors," which surprised me. in that way it is just like watching the convention at the c-span site except you can full-screen the viewer so you can watch from your comfy chair!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/
why post this? Matthews gets a little snippy, ok, he's a silly goose, but it seems just as snippy to even bother posting this on C&L.
getalife "whiners" @ 59:
no, no, go to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/ (the countdown site) and you can watch the same thing you would see at c-span (no talking heads, just the convention) except you can full-screen the viewer so you can watch it from your comfy chair!
Now, don't get me wrong...I LOVE Keith Olbermann and am not a big fan of Matthews, but Keith does seem to take liberties some time with the flippant comments, where none are necessary. It's a tendency that's gotten him in trouble in the past in other jobs and I hope he resorts to it only where necessary...i.e., slapping down Joe Scarborough. He should not, however, dis a co-worker in order to apologize to a DINO like Steny Hoyer!
karen marie @ 68:
SO! You admit that you have your price, ehh?
(I kid!)
You said it.
Instead acting like a petulant little bitch, Chrissy should be giving Keith half of his paycheck since he only gets ratings by parasiting KO's show.
Chrissie does not like losing his ability to display his ridiculous biases against women and minorities and his apparent predilection for white men wearing Aqua Velva or Old Spice.
He probably resents Olbermans meteoric rise in stature and credibility.
hence, the petulant little bitch of a man is starting to lose it.
[no insult intended to female dogs or real men.]
I think Matthews is fustrated because Olbermann is clearly the main anchor of the MSNBC coverage. Olberman tosses to and comes back from breaks, he intros guests, etc. Matthews is clearly the sidekick now. Also, Chris, you need to do something about your hair. Someone making $5 million per year can afford to have his hair professionally colored, rather than playing "Kitchen Magician" with a box of his wife's L'Oreal Golden Honey (now with extra conditioner!) And please - work out your mommy issues before ever speaknig about Hillary Clinton again in public.
Did you see the protestor's signs during those segments? There were a ton of 9-11 Truthers among the Obama supporters. One sign said "Bush destroyed the twin towers", ha ha. Also, there was a guy on a bullhorn leading cheers like "9-11 was an inside job" and "Downing Street Memos". That was the most free speech I've seen on TV in a long time. We probably won't see anymore free protesting like we saw yesterday.
re: 70 Facehead Says:
this blog is about crooks and liars.
chrissie is a liar and all day he's forced to sit next to a man big enough to kick his ass and who also won't let chrissie tell his petty little lies.
it's worth it to see tha liar get his come uppance.
He kinda reminds me of that fat kid on the Simpsons whose cats breath smells like cat food or whatever ...
Thank the Lord for Cspan!!!!!!!!!!!
After a few minutes of listening to dumb and dummer i almost threw my shoe
at the teevee................
I was screaming "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - S.T.F.U"
Keith and Tweety are both assholes. Two like charges repel each other. Those two do not make a harmonious pair. An asshole needs an accommodating sidekick who is willing to defer. Every Joe Scarborough needs a Mika.
Probably drunk. Sounds like indignant winos I see talking to themselves on the subway.
HA, almost as good as REPUGS eating their own is when the media does it! Course if anyone would get snippy it SHOULD be everyone who has to endure Matthews on a daily basis...C-SPAN, TDS, C&L...plenty good places to go...
he needs to comb his hair too or use a stronger holding gel.
The Scar, and Mathews aren't journalist. They just shoot their filthy mouths off and hope something sticks. Since their not on tv for anything other than to offer their unfounded opinions they better stop getting their panties all bunched up when someone give their opinion of them.
If your going to dish it out, you better be able to take it.
Every time I tried to watch Keith yesterday, I kept being irritated immensely by Tweety. I gave up many times, and changed the channel. Kudos to Keith for telling Matthews that he literally couldn't stop yapping inanities. Poor guy looks haggard cause he doesn't have the control he's used to on his own show. Hello to MSNBC...if you'd had Rachel and Keith instead, your ratings would have gone through the roof!!!
WTF is this post about? C&L offering a TMZ moment of one of their least favorite TV hosts? Is it Chris M who needs a nap, or the chain of command at C&L, or both?
TWEETY is definitely an OBAMA voter.
I mean, he's so bitter & all.
spero @ 27:
Exactly, especially towards his own team (regardless of how we feel about them, that's not how to handle your business) and on-air - I can only imagine how much more is said when the cameras aren't rolling.
I am still convinced Matthews is resentful that he has to actually consider that he has a television audience and would rather blather non-stop to his panelists, stroking himself as a "junkie" talking shop, as if the television audience appreciates it. KO merely said what I have been thinking about him for a long time.
Facehead @ 72:
Indeed...though one could say that you're being snippy, by calling out C&L's snippiness, who called out Tweetie's snippitude to KO....
And no...I'm NOT snippy! ;)
The Moment I Awaited For
You don't know how happy I was to see Chris Matthews go off on Keith Olbermann. I all but gave up on Olbermann retaining his strong leftest opinions. The way he attacked Hillary Clinton during the primaries angered me to no end.
When Olbermann became the power player he is today, I thought he would have to clash with shit disturbing Matthews, Pat Buchanan and the full list of bias script commentators at MSNBC. After all, we are talking about Matthews here; he's the other power player at MSNBC. We, the folks at C&L, know him as stupid. So stupid showed his ass last night when Olbermann provided a counter to his many lying comments. If Olbermann stays at MSNBC, there will be many more.
When it comes down to it, Olbermann. in his power form, does not belong in an heavily scripted environment like MSNBC. Olbermann has a tendency to deliver without the blinders in a very strong "you know its true" fashion. This is different from Matthews style, which is "I said it; take it for what it is, and you can't comment on it."
We have all heard the saying the truth is hard to swallow. In fact, when it comes to Republican convictions, denial is massive and wide spread. It is almost like they would rather a lie over the truth any day.
In any event, I commend Olbermann for his stance. Vote for you choice for president here.
Joseph
Drinking again or too many meds.
I feel like I am watching men ease into Alzhiemers when I see Matthews or Lou Dobbs. They make me very uncomfortable in sad sort of way.
They must have some awesome binding contract or they would be long gone.
I'm laughing at these idiots sniping at one another on air too -- though I do know the future of our country is critical. Normally their egos are well hidden by their professional persona, but they seem to have caught some craziness from the convention-goers. Can you imagine Cronkite, Huntley or Brinkley behaving with such immaturity? but that's another time, another era.
Look, it's as simple as this. Nobody makes us watch these clowns.
If you're looking for entertainment, then watch the sideshow theatrics of the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC and let them help you decide. You'll only see some of the speeches of the convention, what they deem is interesting. (Notice how quickly they switched away mid-speech from fmr. Republican Senator Jim Leech when he was considered boring only to hear more blah blah blah from the talking heads.)
If, however, you want to hear all the speeches uninterrupted in order to make up your own mind, then watch C-SPAN or PBS (support it, too.) Watch it at C-SPAN online, if you don't have cable.
I'll just bet they're all very tired. I have lived in the South all of my life. One Christmas, we took a trip to Breckinridge, Colorado. I was probably 32 at the time. I remember how tired I got each day -- and I did very little skiing.
I understand that Matthews has diabetes, so combined with the effects of a lack of oxygen, I believe the guy probably DOES need a nap.
that is hilarious - matthews hair is all messed up and he looks a wreck...hahahaha
How can anyone have a crush on McCain? eww. Is it daddy issues? Anyway, yesterday Chris Matthews had such a grand opportunity to be relevant when he was interviewing a PUMA, who was insisting that Obama was a muslim. He kept asking her for proof, and she kept saying she would send it to him (guffaw). But why couldn't he have asked her what was wrong with a muslim? And then ask her if she thinks Hillary Clinton would associate with anyone who supported such outspoken bigotry. I would like to see a PUMA explain what's Democratic about their beliefs.
It's perfectly reasonable to consider that someday Keith Ellison might run for president. American Muslims must be heartsick.
Chris Matthews imitating John McCain. Gives me a shiver up my leg.
the look on keith and steny's face was the best part
harley @ 66:
If Maddow had taken his spot, I would have been so happy, I'd have to change my pants.
oh Tweety, you're not very tweet ...and KO just looks at him and grins. LMAO.
roooth @ 25:
Does anyone have a linky link for this?
Cool. This is exactly what I hope Obama does to McCain during the debates. Make him break.
MSNBC lost me as a loyal viewer after Chris swooned over Ann Coulter and sat there while she trashed Elizabeth Edwards. Then Olbermann lost me after his unbiased love for all thing Obama, and the trashing of Hillary....'special comments' heh.
MSNBC is only good for reruns of Lockup!
Best thing about watching the convention on the Dish HD Direct feed channel. No TALKING HEADS!
HAHA!
Matthews is old and tired and Keith is fresh and new.
Everyone loves Keith and Chris is SO MAD about it!
Chris Matthews is like a spoiled child who had his best toy taken away from him.
GO KEITH! :)
Matthews is showing that he's a real pro.
Call me sensitive, but I'm getting the impression that tweety and KO are not on the best of terms. Matthews seems alternately defensive then cranky while KO says nothing but has a look on his face that says, "You are so full of shit, Chris."
moe Says:
I don’t think this is as much about Chris needing a nap as Chris getting tired of Olberman thinking he’s Murrow and therefore above all the other folks he works with. Frankly, I think they’re all jerks, but it’s nice to see them letting some air out of Olberman’s balloon.
_______________________________
So Matthews and Scarborough deserve respect but Olbermann needs some air let out of his balloon? Sorry, but that's just foolishness. Think about it for a second and I think you'll see.
Poor Chris Matthews. We should have patience with those struggling to make the transition from the frat house to the adult world.
Poor Crissy, Keith said ''WE'' were yapping....but you knowing how you INTERUPT everyone, and ASSUMED it was you, and it was you. So.....STFU!!!!!!!! Joe and Tweety gotta GO. For thoes who whine about Keith Olbermann, go watch fox NOISE or cnn and compare, i'll take the truth like K.O. and Rachel tell it. MSNBC can get rid of Pukecannon and Nora (I date rush limbaugh) also.
There has been some web chatter that Matthews is a white powder fan like Larry Kudlow at CNBC. His on air actions appear to be a symptom of a bigger issue that his so called "illness" absence did not resolve.
Keith would like to just reach over and smack him, but I suspect the producers are screaming in his ear, "Keith! no!, No! NO!"
Oh my God! What a Combo. Steny Whore and Tweety. I hope they are Paying Kieth a lot of Money to have listen to these two ASSHOLES.
Matthews looks ill. Like, serious altitude headache, etc. Some people can't act decently when they feel like shit, and their character shows through.
Tweety says he feels a man-crush creeping up his leg when he hears Obama speak. Why does MSNBC allow a fanboy to anchor election night news coverage?
There's a pattern here. Everywhere that KO works he comes into conflict with his fellow workers. It's not surprising considering his inflated ego, phony liberalism, and obvious bigotry.
I enjoy Keith but his ego is swelling to epic proportions.
What a dick.
Matthews acts like a 5-year-old WATB! It's just ALL about him, isn't it?!?
What a fine Christian man he is.
As far as I care, Olbermann and Tweety could have spent an hour talking about the weather while leaving that used car dealer...uh, Hoyer hanging.
Hmmm, I like Bennythebouncer's name for Steny Hoyer: Steny Whore.
SassySandy @ 55:
When I see comments like this, I wonder about the fate of America.
What evs! Olbermann is miles better than anyone on network news; only Moyers and Brancaccio are better.
I know someone must have asked this question before, but what is the main reason Chris Matthews hasn't been committed to a mental institution?
Chris is so on his period right now.
That was unprofessional. This is one more piece of evidence to support my theory. If you take these right-wing guys out of their element, and put them ion a more mainstream setting, they will implode on themselves. When Limbaugh tried to be a sports "color" guy, he made an ass of himself. When Michael Savage was given a cable show, he was cancelled shortly thereafter for running his mouth. Now Matthews has a childish tantrum at the Democratic National Convention. I really like how a US Congressman had to wait until Matthews' tantrum was over. He didn't seem pleased.
John @ 130:
Steny Hoyer isn't a US Congressman - he's an AT&T Con-gressman.
Well, this is one example of why Chris won't make a good candidate for Senate in PA. He cannot control his mouth. At least Olbermann took the high road here and moved on.
The right wing tool acts like a right wing tool. Quelle surprise.
How thoroughly unprofessional. If I were running NBC, I would say, "enough is enough, Chris needs a vacation." Keith was clearly making a general, lighthearted comment about pundits in general; he's mentioned before that he and his cohorts love to talk at length about next to nothing. It's not his fault that Chris is overcome with jealousy and insecurity.
