World War III: Barney Frank vs. Bill O'Reilly
By SilentPatriot Thursday Oct 02, 2008 3:10pm
Bill O'Reilly brings Barney Frank on with one goal in mind: to get him to admit that he's responsible for the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and therefore the millions of dollars that obviously Bill O'Reilly Americans lost when they went under and the stock market dropped in response. Frank was having none of it, and the result was as instant internet classic. Here are a few of the best exchanges:
O'REILLY: You're a coward. You blame everybody else. You're a coward.
FRANK: Bill, here's the problem with going on your show. You start ranting. And the only way to respond is almost to look as boorish as you. But here's the facts....
[...]
FRANK: I'm not going to be bullied by your ranting. You can rant all you want, you're not going to shut me up! The problem was that we passed in 1994, in fact.
O'REILLY: Now we're back to 1994. This is bull. This is why Americans don't trust the government.
FRANK: No, this is why your stupidity gets in the way of rational discussion.
This is Bill's MO. He goes into an interview with one goal in mind and goes ballistic when his guest shoots it down. The past couple of weeks have turned Barney Frank into one of my new favorite Congressmen. These two should have their own show. Kinda like Crossfire, only entertaining.
Full transcript below the fold for those of you who can't stand more than 7 seconds of Bill O'Reilly.
Congressman Frank was asked about Freddie and Fannie on July 14, 2008:
REP. BARNEY FRANK, D-MASS.: I think this is a case where Fannie and Freddie are fundamentally sound, that they are not in danger of going under. They're not the best investments these days from the long-term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward.
They're in a housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid. And in fact, we're going to do some things that are going to improve them.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
O'REILLY: Well, obviously, that statement turned out not to be true.
Joining us now from Washington is Congressman Frank. And we appreciate you coming in, being a standup guy, but shouldn't everybody in the country be angry with you right now?
FRANK: No. You've misrepresented this consistently. I became chairman of the committee on January 31st, 2007. Less than two months later, I did what the Republicans hadn't been able to do in 12 years — get through the committee a very tough regulatory bill. And it passed the House in May.
I've always felt two things about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that they had an important role to play, but that the regulations should be improved.
Now from 1995 to 2006, when the Republicans controlled Congress and we were in the minority, we couldn't get that done. Although in 2005, Mike Oxley, of Sarbanes-Oxley fame, a pretty tough guy on regulation, did try to put a bill through to regulate Fannie Mae. I worked with him on it. As he told The Financial Times, he thought ideological rigidity in the Bush administration stopped that.
But the basic point is that the first time I had any real authority over this was January of 2007. And within two months, we had passed the bill that regulated.
O'REILLY: OK. And that's true, all of that is true.
FRANK: And then also, one other point: The Senate was dragging its feet, as often happens. And in January of 2008, I asked Secretary Paulson to put in the stimulus bill. So, the earliest chance I got to put tough regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, we did it.
O'REILLY: All right, that's swell. But you still went out in July and said everything was great. And off that, a lot of people bought stock and lost everything they had.
FRANK: Oh, no.
O'REILLY: And — yes, oh yes. Oh, yes.
FRANK: I said it wasn't a good investment. Please stop yelling.
O'REILLY: Don't give me any of that, we just heard the words. What are you…
FRANK: That's wrong.
O'REILLY: You didn't say that? You want me to play it again for you?
FRANK: You didn't listen to it.
O'REILLY: No, I listened to every word you said. And I have the transcript right here.
FRANK: No, and I said it wasn't a good investment.
O'REILLY: Yes, you said going forward, we're going to be swell.
FRANK: No, I didn't say swell. Excuse me, Bill.
O'REILLY: Look, from August '07 to August '08.
FRANK: Excuse me, Bill.
O'REILLY: Don't — look, stop the B.S. here. Stop the crap! From August '07 to August '08…
FRANK: You know, here's the problem going on your show...
O'REILLY: …under your tutelage, this industry…
FRANK: Here is the problem going on your show.
O'REILLY: …declined 90 percent. 90 percent.
FRANK: Yes, but…
O'REILLY: Oh, none of this was your fault! Oh, no. People lost millions of dollars. It wasn't your fault. Come on, you coward! Say the truth.
FRANK: What do you mean coward?
O'REILLY: You're a coward. You blame everybody else. You're a coward.
FRANK: Bill, here's the problem with going on your show. You start ranting. And the only way to respond is almost to look as boorish as you. But here's the facts. I specifically said in the quote you just played that I didn't think it was a good investment. I wasn't telling anybody to buy stock. I said it wasn't a good investment.
Secondly, I wasn't presiding idly over this. I was trying to get the regulations adopted. We got them adopted in May.
O'REILLY: Look, bottom line is you're there two years. Bottom line is stock drops 90 percent.
FRANK: Yes.
O'REILLY: In any private industry, you're out.
FRANK: We couldn't get…
O'REILLY: In any private concern, you're out on your butt. But not here in the federal government.
You can come in and make every excuse in the world.
FRANK: I'm not making excuses.
O'REILLY: Blame everybody else in the world and then call me boorish.
The fact is it was 1994 that we passed a bill to tell the Fed to stop the subprime lending. We tried to get them to do it. The first time we were in power again in 2007, we passed the bill to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
So during the two years I was there…
O'REILLY: Look, Congressman, you tried to put a happy face on this in July.
FRANK: I'm not putting a happy face on anything.
O'REILLY: You tried to — and now you won't take the.
FRANK: No.
O'REILLY: Look, at least Cox is man enough.
FRANK: I said….
O'REILLY: At least Cox is man enough to say he screwed up. You're not.
FRANK: Hey, Bill. This manliness stuff is very unbecoming from you. I don't see any…
O'REILLY: Cox is man enough to say he screwed up. You're not.
(CROSSTALK)
FRANK: You think toughness is yelling and ranting and trying to bully. It's not going to work with me. The fact is in the very quote you played, I said it's not a good investment. I tried to get the regulations adopted.
O'REILLY: You said going forward, it's going to be swell. And people under that bought stock in that, thought it was a good investment.
FRANK: I didn't say swell. I didn't say swell. No, I said in fact in that quote that you played and didn't listen to because you're busy ranting that it's not a good investment. I said that at the time. I did think we were going to improve things going forward. Yes, we had some things that needed improvement.
O'REILLY: All right, you want to — here, let me read you your quote here. OK? OK? "I do think the prospects going forward are very solid."
FRANK: But that's not the part about it not being a good investment.
O'REILLY: Now, people bought stock when you said that.
FRANK: You are distorting it. Bill, you're lying by your words.
O'REILLY: This is what you said.
FRANK: What about the part where…
O'REILLY: Not lying. And I played it and I read it.
FRANK: What about the part where I said it wasn't a good investment?
O'REILLY: You said it's not the best right now, but going forward this is going to be solid.
FRANK: Right…
O'REILLY: People lost millions.
FRANK: I didn't say solid, I didn't say swell. You distort consistently. And you think ranting and raving…
O'REILLY: All right.
FRANK: …you don't want to talk about 1994, like no history is relevant. The fact is that you had a problem with an administration — conservative.
(CROSSTALK)
O'REILLY: I know, it's all the conservatives, it's all the Republicans and not you.
FRANK: Oh, come on.
O'REILLY: None on you. That's a joke.
FRANK: You won't have a rational discussion.
O'REILLY: That's a joke.
FRANK: The joke is to think I could have a rational discussion with you. You're ranting.
O'REILLY: No, the joke is both parties are at fault, as I stated. But one guy Cox says yes, I screwed up.
FRANK: That's a totally different issue.
O'REILLY: And one guy Frank says it's everybody else's fault.
FRANK: No, I didn't say it was everybody else's fault.
O'REILLY: It's your fault.
FRANK: You are the most — you don't listen at all, or maybe you are listening or you're too dumb to understand.
O'REILLY: I am too dumb, Congressman.
FRANK: The fact is that in — yes.
O'REILLY: No, you hit it, I'm too dumb. You're the brilliant guy.
FRANK: In 2007.
O'REILLY: You're the brilliant guy who presided over the biggest financial collapse in federal history.
FRANK: Oh, no, no, no.
O'REILLY: So you're the — I'm the dumb guy. You're the brilliant guy.
(CROSSTALK)
FRANK: Under the Bush administration…
(CROSSTALK)
FRANK: And the fact is…
O'REILLY: Congressman, thanks very much. We got to run.

Kick his a$$, Barney!!! Don't let him get away with his crap!

i agree with bildo (god have mercy on me).... i dont trust ANYONE of these goddamn cowards and crooks!
now do bail out wallstreet, we bail out foreign banks too!
EVERYONE who voted for this bill is a traitor.
Whenever anyone says to me "I watch Bill O'reilly" I immediately know there is something flawed about their character. He IS a boorish bully....Facts be damned is his mantra
"Historic Boondoggle"
Surprised Falafel Boy didn't pull out the gay card on Barney. Would not put it past him actually. Even O Really knows a career killing line in the sand apparently.
No, this is why your stupidity gets in the way of rational discussion.
I want one of those talking keychains that says this, so I can just push a button when a conservative starts blathering.
O'Reilly is such an asshat. Oh, by the way, Drudge Report has a VP Debate poll with Sarah winning 70 to 28. Please stop by and vote for the real winner -- I think his name is -----Joe.
barney leads the way in selling us out and becomes a hero in the process, please.
Clearly people are morons if they don't realize that historically this will be written as poor democrat policy. Low income housing and sub prime mortgages are part of the lefts agenda.
Carter <-- Created it
Clinton <-- Opened pandora's box
Frank <-- The key in the spectatorial left not regulating Fannie and Freddy, and when things did finally come crashing down---he became the spokesman for regulations.
Total Cost: $700,000,000,000.00(and counting)
Bill is an ass.
I'm embarrassed for Barney Frank. Why do these politicians continue to appear on Faux News? They must know their appearance will be quickly reduced to a pathetic shout-fest. What's the point? It's no secret that Faux News is in bed with the GOP. Thus, anyone considered left of the far right will be set up for the kind of spectacle we see on this video. I expect nothing more from the scumbags on Faux News...but Frank should know better.
Barney Frank did nothing but reduce US politics to the level of professional wrestling.
All Democrats should boycott Fox for all time because of this utter disrespect of a Congressman and plainly trying to intimidate.
Bill seems a bit angrier than usual. I wonder how much money he recently lost in the stock market. Oh poor little billy lost his shirt. This too funny.
How is it that this putz still has a show?
GOP mouthpiece Shill'O is trying to lay almost 10 years of the GOP controlling all 3 branches of government at the feet of the party that has controlled 1 branch for less than 2 years. Shlll'O is trying to minimize the GOP getting their clock cleaning due to their widespread corruption and governing incompetence.
Shill'O's usual MO, cutting off his guest's mic. Real classy. Why any Democrat would go on Foxaganda is beyond me.
Why is this walking offal pile still on the air? Seriously, even the wingnuts are calling him an idiot. I guess he's going to have to cost his masters more money than he rakes in for them and they'll let him go. Sigh, it can't happen soon enough.
"The dead have risen and they're voting Republican!" -- Bart Simpson
Well the so called right wingers that are passionate about America are just as big o' pussies as we liberals...they harbor all those guns and still can't prevent the pols from taking a trillion dollars/American and giving it to the royalty of Wall Street. No guts tsh tsh!
Whenever BillO does his rat-face lip pucker the only image that goes through my mind is him masturbating with a big black dildo.
I will curse thesmokinggun 'til the day I die for that.
liberalinaredstate @ 7:
Bill'O is a cowardly bully. Put Bill'O on the front lines with a gun in his hand and watch him crap his pants. http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/2002/01/010702_Vietnam_and_OReilly...
So when is Congress going to address "Media Reform," as this clip would be excellent evidence to be entered into the Congressional record.
people that do not have a good point must yell, hence all the yelling from o'rielly
in regards to the bailout bill....although i disagree with bailing out the banks (shouldn't we have bailed out the failed mortgages, thus saving the banks investments as well as homeowners, almost as a secondary form of insurance), i disagree with criticism of ALL the "pork" in the approved bill, since one of the "earmarks" was a much needed extension of the Investment Tax Credit on new solar projects and Production Tax Credit on wind and geothermal projects
Dale @ 5:
I agree. They both acted like children. That's standard procedure for Bill'O, but Barney Frank should have known better.
From Congress with LUV. Thank you, it was a pleasure sticking it to you
p.s. We especially like the Wooden arrows
I'll never understand why anybody who wants to be viewed as credible would go on Fox in the first place.
Venomous cocktail:
Take one ignorant arsehole who refuses to look at any historical facts, take one over-paid and highly subsidized congresscritter who cannot and will never know the tough times ahead for the average working person, mix well, add a dollop of bullshit and said average personstill won't know what the hell hit them.
Yeah, man, it's got a knockout punch.
I really hope PiggyO'piggy lost MILLIONS. I hope and pray he lost everything.
Bill needs a boycott. thats what he needs. a complete, and total, boycott. the UK won't even honor or recognize them as a legitimate member of the press.
every mid/independent, and every left wing politician, pundit, and advisor... needs to boycott him.
I am not a financial genuis but if the chairman of the finance commitee said right now this isnt a good invsetment I would never bet that stock. I see no reason in the charts that it was. Only the rich neo-cons would jump there
Those two queens need to get a room.
FRANK: No, this is why your stupidity gets in the way of rational discussion.
Barney Frank is DA' MAN!
cg @ 25:
Had Bill talked to me that way; he would be picking up his teeth.
Crevass@15: Dems don't watch such an idiotic/biased/slanted Republican
"entertaintment show" We have more sense than to do so. ONLY the hard
core, uninformed/uneducated, right wingnuts watch such a piss poor show.
Just watching this clip of O'Liely makes me want to puke..or better yet, bitch
slap that prick into neverland. Sure am happy that I have, long ago, boycotted
Faux Noise. Just wish that C&L would do the same and NOT show any video
clips or give that dispicable channel any coverage. We can all do without seeing
such crap.
Not very informative, but entertaining -- in a WWF kind of way.
BillO has built his entire cartoonish career on a foundation of pure BS. Barney has zero tolerance for BS. No one should be surprised by the result.
When the interview started, Bill honestly thought he had a good point but his whole case evaporated after a few seconds of Frank's response and then he started to rant to cover up his own mistakes. Even stupid people see through this.
Sure many democrats had their hands in this, but the main culprit is GREENSPAN, by creating credit bubbles throughout his tenure
Even stupid people see through this. Matt
Stupid People.. Republicans.
No they don't.
cg @ 25:
Yeah, but still. Barney didn't let down like BillO was expecting to. BillO was trying to capture some macho footage for his next show. Instead, Frank cock slapped him a few times.
I've always liked Barney Frank. And if he wasn't fat, gay and spoke with a lisp, he'd have been President of the USA long ago.
langx @ 39:
Touche'
I'm guessing, as someone already mentioned, that Orally lost a bundle in the stock market the other day, so that's why his meds weren't working as well as they night.
I think it's rather disgusting for a so-called "journalist" or news reader, or to use Dennis' word, a "disseminator" of excrement to speak to a Rep. of the US House of Reps. is such a disrespectful and obnoxious way. I'm not a big fan of Barney Frank, but he went on the show to share his thoughts, facts, and opinions about this financial "crisis."
Why does Orally even bother inviting people on? He should just put a big mirror in front of himslef on the set and scream obscenities at himself. He is one fucked-up dude. I know a couple of real good psychiatrists and therapists - I'm gonna' email him a list.
(And, by the way where has Dennis been? (the original "disseminator). Guess he's not been feeling too well these past number of days - his Conservative buds on Wall street likely lost him a bundle, too.)
And I thought WWIII was the battle between that pustule o'really, and the Michael Moore stand-in, in American Carol.
I love this whole argument that in 18 months of a Democratic congress the whole nation has gone to shit. Oh No, it's not like these things take time to build up. Of course in the six previous years of unfettered conservative control, those guys did such a remarkable job that, that... well, that they got kicked out on their asses wholesale in November, 2006 and look to lose even more seats in the upcoming election.
Poor Bill: he knows that if he doesn't tell the lies to bring in the conservative viewers and corresponding advertising bucks, things will get awfully ugly when he goes home to pimp. After all, who wouldn't be scared to hear the words, "Is Rupert Murdoch going to have to choke a bitch?"
honestly, why even go on this douchebag's show?
liberinaredstate@7
I here you! When someone tells me they watch, listen to, or quote something O'Reilly said, red flags fly everywhere. To me it's on the same level as if a someone told me " I hit women, and I enjoy it".
Bill? Seriously: Fuck you in your black heart, you scared, obnoxious, bullying coward.
I say that Barney Frank won the debate. He should be the next V.P. Oh, wrong debate?
I f#$king hate Bill O’Reilly!
I hope he lost a fortune in all this trouble the economy is in. That seems like the only thing than can actually hurt him.

HaHaHaHa!!!! You're as deep as a puddle. Have a good weekend, dumb fuck.
CafeenMan @ 27:
I guess the thrill of being on TV overwhelms their common sense.
I’ve always liked Barney Frank. And if he wasn’t fat, gay and spoke with a lisp, he’d have been President of the USA long ago.
I adore him, and I agree with you completely. And as we all know from Kipling's poem, "if" is a big word. For example, if Barack Obama wasn't black, he'd already have this election signed, sealed, and delivered.
joeedugan @ 45:
The best solution that the Republicans can come up with is to print more money. It didn't work very well for the Weimar Republic.
O’REILLY: Congressman, thanks very much. We got to run.
billo needs to stop chugging laxatives before going on a show.
Matt: "Even stupid people see through this."
Nope, sorry to inform you otherwise, for I had lunch today with a group, and
in such were 3 rightwingnuts who thought that O'Liely "did an excellent and
worderful job of putting Franks down by setting the record straight."
So, as Forrest Gump said..."Stupid is as stupid does"
Nope, sorry to inform you otherwise, for I had lunch today with a group, and
in such were 3 rightwingnuts who thought that O’Liely “did an excellent and
worderful job of putting Franks down by setting the record straight.”
No pun intended. ;-)
Jeez, Why do Democrats go on O'Lielly's show? Are they sadists? Frankly, it was refreshing to see Frank go after Billo with gusto. Bill is getting more and more unhinged every day.
This video sums up our political system...
The politician is doing what all politicians do, saying its not his fault but somebody elses..
Right wing supporters cheer OReilly for stickin it to the left wing guy.
Kinda like folks on this blog who support the left wing then cheer when this site sticks it to the right wings politician..
point fingers at the other side and miss the big picture..
And BOR wondered aloud why the Obama team wasn't keen on having Obama on his show. Oh my Flying Spaghetti Monster, the man is such an ass.
I tend to like Frank, but on this bailout I'm pissed at almost all of Congress - for their actions and inactions the last few days and their actions and inactions the last few decades.
Go, Barney, go!! I've listened to all the Congressional hearings this week, and he's brilliant. Having said that, I was against the bailout, but Barney did a great job getting the job done. Bill-o is an embarrassment to this country, and I cheer for anyone who stands up to him and shoves the truth down his narrrow throat--that he IS a bully and boorish and stupid (not to mention a very poor listener) and thanks to Barney for speaking for a lot of us!!
Frank should not have legitimized that douschebag and his show! I hope this is a lesson for ole Barney and every other Democrat...stay off that dickhead's show! Problem is, the Dems are just as big media/attention whores as the Republicans!
Left&Left @ 52:
Whoa whoooa...don't you think Mark was taking a job at the American public, not Frank? He is fat, gay, and speaks with a lisp. So what? I'm straight, slim, speak with a clear voice and yet I loves me some Barney Frank. Mark's jab, imo, was at OUR shallowness and apparent inability to see past the surface attributes of a person. I mean, take this current situation with a current, VILFy veep candidate; how far would she have gone without that Naughty Librarian look?
I applaud where your heart is, but I think you jumped on the wrong guy.
60 Boo
billo wasn't looking for a discussion filled with nuance; he just wanted to bully, and Frank would have none of it.
When guys try so hard to prove their manhood, one has to question why they have that need.
"Bitch-slap" anyone?
I have an 85 year old father-in-law who lives in San Diego and used to watch Faux several hours a day and yell at the TV.
I say "used to", because Christmas a year ago, while my wife and I were out for a visit, I used his cable remote to lockout the FauxSnooze Channel. I know it was devious to do that to him....to this day, he thinks the cable company just stopped carrying it.
He's much more rational about politics now, and alot easier to talk to about current events.
This is a perfect example of why I did it. I would do it again in a friggin' heartbeat.
65 Bonkers
You have to excuse L&L, he went to the o'really/palin school of debate, nothing but insults and character assasinations.
To Barney Franks,
You lie down with pigs, you can't expect to get up smelling like a rose. And, if you were really on the side of the average working American, you would have fought this RAPE with everything you have.
But I forget, we no longer have public servants in this country. We have whores who have to cash it all in for their pimps on Wall Street.
At least some of us know who the real enemy of the people are now. And it ain't Bill O'Reilly.
Actually Boo@60, the majority of the people on this site will happily stick to the left wing politicians. If you haven't noticed the vast majority of the posts here in the last few days have complained about the left caving to the econoterrorism of Shrub/Paulson/etc. For me the big difference between the left and the right is the right never wants to admit their side made a mistake. The left never wants to admit the right did something correct. The left, in this case, is usually right.
Damn, that was a long way to go for that one. Almost a shaggy dog.
Not a huge Oreilly fan, but he has every right to be mad as nobody else seems to be holding him accountable for almost single-handedly (along with Dodd) blocking legislation that would have prevented loans to people with bad credit. This is because he believed anyone should get a loan because minorities were "unfairly" being rejected due to bad credit. Well that on top of his earmarks to ACORN which used teamster-like tactics to pressure and embarras bank execs into easing up loan requirements until the stock market bit and bubbled. Fast forward, we knew it was coming all because idiots like Frank spew populist rhetoric in place of well economically-advised policy. Frank's ignorance and stubbornness should be his downfall but there are relatively few media outlets willing to allow the blame to rest on the left side of the aisle before a big election. You will see him fall, rest assurred. It may be in two or three years, but history will catch up to him.
http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/07/top-s...
Look at this document. Barney Frank received $40,100 in campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie. Therefore Democrats are just as much to blame in this crisis as Republicans. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae donates money to the majority party in the House and the Senate. So they donated to both political parties that are responsible for this crisis. It wasn't one party that screwed up on this.
That was painful. What a colossal jerkoff. He's like a fourth grader on the kickball field thinking if he yells loud enough, he'll get a do-over. The republican era since reagan has been absolutely fucking shameful. Reaganomics and the whole anti-government mentality stink. Government sucks right up to the time you really need 700 billion dollars. Lower taxes, my ass. Who's going to pay the 700 bil? Can you imagine what the country would look like today if the Iraq money went to our own infrastructure, instead? The reagan dream must have been one of a few really rich white guys and a whole lot of poor folks and not much in the middle.
The Republicans are going mad. As Chris Matthews said to weasel Rep Cantor "Your trying to take off your uniforms and run from the filed of political battle and claim our not Republicans" Chris Matthews lashed Cantnor "Take responsibility sir for the policies that have gotten us into this mess"
Matthews finishes by mopping up the floor with Cantnor. "I have never in my life seen a party run from its own record like the Republicans have"

PEOPLE LIKE O'REILLY, LIMBAUGH, ROVE ARE MADE FROM THE SAME DISGUSTING MATERIAL. THEY HAVE POISON RUNNING IN THEIR VEINS THEY ARE TOXIC. BEWARE
Barney should have thrown a Loofa at Bill.
priceless.
StirFry @ 40:
Sorry for the double post. I just like to point out something that you seem to have missed.
Barney Frank did not act in any way like Bill O'Reily. So cg comment is straight example of what Paul Krugman described in his "Blizzard of Lies" column (If a politician says that black is white, the news report doesn’t say that he’s wrong, it reports that “some Democrats say” that he’s wrong. Or a grotesque lie from one side is paired with a trivial misstatement from the other, conveying the impression that both sides are equally dirty.).
For cg to write it was a mistake. And StirFry just accepted it without challenge. This is just like the framing republicans get away with all the time.
I'm not implying any malice. On the contrary, it is more likely that decency was what clouded their judgment on this one. Nevertheless I thought I should point it out.
I hope I make some sense - English is not my native tongue.
for those of you who were against today's bailout...please present your solutions
i dont know enough about the problem...but all i see here is alot of angry people who are just enjoying attacking everyone
and yes, frank is a little responsible in not accepting that there was something really wrong with fannie and freddie
but not to the extent that loofa boy leaves all the repugs and bush off the hook
Democrats will you STOP going on his god damn show?!! Why are you giving him credibility by even agreeing to appear? You know what's going to happen! It happens every time. Can't you get it through your thick heads that the guy is a fucking, raving lunatic??!!! He belongs in an asylum. JUST SAY NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My keyboard really took a beating there.
Ooommmmmmmmmmmm
Why appear on this wingnut's show? Going to help with the ratings. Dumbass.
FINALLY!
Falafel Sex Perv said something that is true:
"I'm the dumb guy, you're the brilliant one."
I'm surprised Shill'O didn't call him a fag.
Probably did off camera though.
Uncle Joe Mccarthy @ 77:
Start with the plan Marcy Kaptur had. She and DiFazio had the answer. No one paid attention.
Why, for the love of God, do Democrats still have ANYTHING to do with FOX? When are they going to learn that it is corrupt to the core...this is a perfect example. This and the softball fest interview that Hannity gave to Palin. Democrats need to BOYCOTT Fox and not let up. PERIOD.
Uncle Joe Mccarthy @ 77:
Would it really matter if one of us had a better solution? Would they listen to you? Doubt it, I watched the hearings on it and they only had Paulson and Bernanke with their solution. Instead of you asking us for an alternative, why did our 'leaders' not ask others for a solution?
Whatever happened to respect. I disagree with almost every Republican on almost every view, but I can't imagine treating a US Congressman, regardless of party, with this type of disrespect in Public.
I've never liked Bill O'Reilly to start with, but this was distasteful to a high degree.
I will never understand why any self-respecting Dem would go on O'Lielly's show.
I'm of two minds on this. One, Democrats and others who can really go toe to toe- hats off to Senator Frank- with this psycho should continue to do so. Sooner or later the blowhard will get tired of yelling all the time and learn to behave. Or not.
On the other hand, the blatant disrespect and venom Psycho- Bill unleashes on Democrats should be boycotted: Just hang up the phone when invited by ANY of these Fox programs to participate as a guest.
We don't need Fox. We don't need Bill O'Reilly.
Interesting thought,
When I was going down the hall to hit the head I realized
Why hasn't anyone who wears glasses been president
At least in the official portraits?
That's not considering FDR's monocle.
