Rand Paul's Pattern Of Reaganesque Deceit And Denial

The latest incident with Rand Paul and immigration activists is just one in a long pattern of lies cleaned up with abject denial.

Steve Kornacki nailed Rand Paul on his pattern of deceit and denial Wednesday, citing his denials of what he said about the Civil Rights Act, foreign aid to Israel, and his latest dodge when confronted by immigration activists at a fundraiser with Rep. Steve King.

In each instance, Junior Paul said or did something, created a firestorm by saying or doing that thing, and then outright denied that he said or did that thing.

He's not gifted enough to pull it off. In his latest effort to pretend he's a Serious Contender for 2016, he swears he had another interview right at the time he was shoveling burgers into his mouth. America's Voice has video from another angle, though, that clearly shows his aide gesturing for him to get out of Dodge as the two young people approach. There was no reporter anywhere near him.

Enjoy. There's a bonus at the end when Rick Perlstein comes on to discuss why Rand Paul is no Ronald Reagan.
