The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore and regulars Mike Yard and Rory Albanese with a "fair and balanced" debate on the KKK and their rebranding effort.
January 18, 2016

For anyone who was not already aware of this story, apparently the KKK is making an attempt to improve their image: Ku Klux Klan Rebrand Opens Its Doors To Black People, Jews And Gays:

The Ku Klux Klan is diversifying. Really. Well, apparently.

Despite being better known for burning crosses on lawns, lynchings and horrific racism, the group is opening its doors to Jews, black people and gays.

The rebranded organisation called the Rocky Mountain Knights claims to now stand for "a strong America" rather than irrational hatred.

They also claim they will not discriminate against people because of race, religion or sexual orientation.

The move comes after John Abarr, a KKK organiser from Great Falls, Montana, and the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NCAAP), met for discussions last year.

Abarr said: "I thought it was a really good organisation. I don't feel we need to be separate.

"The KKK is for a strong America. White supremacy is the old Klan. This is the new Klan."

The story proved to be too irresistible for Comedy Central's The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore to pass up, where they used the KKK's rebranding effort as an excuse to run another installment of Pardon the Integration, and to make a mockery of the cable "news" industry and their constant push to play the "both sides" game with every single issue.

Poor Mike Yard got the short end of the stick when he was forced to take his turn arguing on the pro-KKK side of the "debate" and got zinged by both Wilmore and his fellow Nightly Show regular, Rory Albanese.
