While touting his fundraising prowess, Donald Trump continued his assault on the horrible political press because they keep asking him to answer questions.
May 31, 2016

In a bizarre press conference this morning, Donald Trump finally released his findings on the money raised for veterans in his controversial fundraiser, held when he ditched the Fox News debate.

But instead of sticking to the facts about the fundraiser, he began by repeatedly attacking the press for being disingenuous to him and finally singled out an ABC News reporter by calling him "a sleaze" to his face.

Trump began whining immediately about how mean and horrible the political press is, and the reporters finally began pushing back against his insults, which prompted him to make one of the most disingenuous statements during the entire presser.

Major Garrett asked him if he believed "he should be accountable for the people?"

Trump replied, "Oh, I'm totally accountable, but I didn't want to have credit for it."

Throughout the entire presser, Donald constantly said that he didn't want to take any credit for raising the money for the vets, which, of course is a complete lie.

He tried to upstage the Republican debate on Fox News because he was angry at Megyn Kelly, so he skipped it and hosted a veterans fundraiser, which was televised.

CNN's Jim Acosta then said, “You keep calling us the dishonest press, the disgusting press — " Trump interjected, "generally speaking that's 100 percent true."

Acosta replied, "I disagree with that, sir. And if I can ask you this question. It seems as though you’re resistant to scrutiny, the kind of scrutiny that comes with running for President of the United States?"

Trump didn't like that question and attacked Acosta, "Excuse me, I've watched you on television, you're a real beauty."

Another reporter then jumped in, " You did host a very public fundraiser that was televised — Trump interrupted, "How else am I going to raise the money?"

Trump continued to cry about his terrible treatment by the press and another reporter called him out. "Your critics say you have a problem with the truth, is this an example?"

Fox News' Carl Cameron, a favorite of Donald, tried to defend his brethren by explaining to Trump that he's answering the questions now, that were asked then, "is a question an attack?"

Trump replied, "I think the political press is among the most dishonest people that I've ever met, I have to tell you that. You're excluded, Carl."

He filibustered on, complaining about the coverage of the size of one of his rallies and then he singled out an ABC reporter, " I'm not looking for credit, but when I raise millions of dollars, have people say like this - like this sleazy guy right over here from ABC. He’s a sleaze in my book."

"Why am I a sleaze?"

"You’re a sleaze because you know the facts and you know the facts well.”

Note: Several YouTube channels have the entire press conference posted as of this writing.
